Forums - Microsoft Discussion - New Windows ad takes jab at Macs

Not sure if this has been posted, but here it is.

Good luck carrying your 8 lbs piece of hardware around.

"i'm just not cool enough to be a mac person"

lolololololol - winner!

I find this quite pathetic. Why does MS need to make those ads when they still have the biggest marketshare anyway? Are they starting to feel threatened or something?

They could simply ignore it and focus on making their OS better instead of spending all that money into making useless ads like this.

That's exactly why I love you MS. Keep on the good work !

almost all mac computer commercials are jabs are microsoft so i don't see why it's a big deal.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Smart of MS to push inexpensive laptops. It will be interesting to see if Apple can continue to grow their retail PC marketshare despite the economic downturn. Up until now they've been content to dominate the high-margin $1000+ PC market (66% marketshare last I heard) and leave others to squabble over the low-margin downmarket.

I have never understood 17" laptops though. They're barely portable at all. If you need that much screen space, get a desktop and save your shoulder.

Havent MS lost this war already?

How could they lose the "war" when they have it in monopoly?

Well we're not talking about total marketshare now are we..

Just because you can kick my ass in 9 games out of 10, i still won that 1 game. And thats what Apple did. They made iMac and the Apple lable a household name outside the industry. And the marketing strategy, including the MAC vs PC videos, made Apple come out on top. I.E..MS lost.
