Forums - Nintendo Discussion - If Manhunt 2 sells well on the Wii

They should port the GTA3 series over to the Wii and see how that sells. GTA3, GTA VC, GTA SA , then toss over the GTA Stories just to see if the game will sell on such a system. But GTA4 won't be coming over.

I really don't think the past games would sell that well.  Maybe if they were boxed together and sold at 30$ but even then... I don't think they'd do that well.  Most people who wanted to play the game has already.  A new game would sell... but an old game may not.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Toss them all in a bundle for $50 on the wii, with added wii controls the game would sell. The same thing has happened with RE and other PS2/GC ports.

Not quoting because it's slowing up my computer. But you can prove these things statistically and they mostly have been proven. The only problem some people have is that other people are fine using correlations without causation that don't control for a number of other of factors to rig expierments to make it look a different way. The reason for this of course is that they get paid a lot to do so.

With a degree in something like psychology, sociology or any sort of expieremental science it's fairly easy to pick apart good studies from bad ones.

If violent games are like other "vice" products if anything they lower the things they are claimed to increase.

After all, that "virtual" person is the perverbial "kicked dog" for some people. The advantage in the game however is that this dog does not feel it as opposed to if your kid takes out his stress on a real pet.

That grey line at 1993 is the release of Doom, and the beginning of violent video games being released. This graph clearly shows that violent video games PREVENT violent crimes!

I hope we all know that Correlation != Causation. Statistics can be found to back up any viewpoint, so take all these "studies" with a grain of salt.

GTA IV spinoff for Wii is a serious possibility. They might revive some older franchises such as Smugglers Run, Red Dead Revolver, Max Payne for Wii

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

Manhunt2 is going to have to be a really good game for it to sell well anywhere. I played the first one and was hardly blown away. If Wii begins to really pummel the other two consoles, and third party games begin flying off the shelves, you will begin to see Wii tie ins on just about everything. They will have no choice. Either that or ignore a large segment of the buying public. In the end it's not Manhunt 2 sales that determine if Rockstar brings GTA to the Wii. It will be sales of the Wii.

Another spinoff to Wii while the main game stays on 360 and PS3 is possible.

Also Hot Coffee wasn't the reason GTA sales were that high mr Twesterm.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I'm pretty sure Rockstar won't bring GTA4 down to the graphics level of the wii, they would have to do a major overhaul of the game to make it worth while. Even the Rockstar table tennis game is being dumbed down by alot to make it on the wii, and thats only 2 players in a small room with a ball. Not an entire city with no load times.

Really doubt it, GTA on PC would be more likely.

And wiis blue ocean soccer moms are NOT the target audience for GTA.
