The main problem of Wii is technical specification. Most of new games just can't be ported directly (new Tiger is a good example... also lack of VF, Tekken or real Soul Calibur to point only fighting games)... Good sale will definitely secure GTA game but don't expect anything on the GTAIV level... People keep asking for games like RE5 but get real... only multiplatform games you have on Wii are sports games or crappy movie spin-offs... CoD4 developers would love to sell this game to 10 million crawd of Wii owners but sorry...
 
PS3 can at least count on UBI (very solid ports of very solid games -  R6 Vegas and GRAW2)

Rockstar Table Tennis game is comming to the Wii. That game is based on the same engine as GTA4. For me that release looks like they wanted to know what they can do on the Wii, and get to the hardware in Detail. I don't think they think that game will sell like crazy.

Bully and Manhunt, basicly PS2 ports, won't bring the Wii to its limits, but are a good test for Rockstare and Take2 saleswise. A lot of people saying the Wii is sold primary to "non" gamers, kids etc. So I think the publishers want to see some sales on the Plattform that indicate otherwise. I think MP3 (and to lesser account RE4) did a good job in showing that "traditional" games can sell on the Wii. If either Manhunt or Bully does the same, I have no doubt that GTA will hit the Wii in some way.

Hmm, even if it's RAGE appearance on Wii... c'mon you do realize the difference between 2(4) player tennis game and huge city with hundreds characters, cars etc... You've seen the trailer. Wii won't handle it. No way.

This game would do well to fly under the radar. From the previews that I've read, Manhunter 2 makes an excellent case for those who claim videogames are reinforcing violent behavior. How easy will it be for a congressman to show videos of kids making sawing and hacking motions in their living rooms translated into bloody murder on the TV. This will not look good for the videogame industry.

if the controls are good i might have to check out MH2... butchering someone with a wiimote could be fun... as for GTA, it would be something like RE: UC, but not the main series.
