no I don't think the DSi is different enough from its predecessor to do that....yes i think it is going to be a hot item to get especially this coming christmas, but I don't think it will be nearly as in demand as wii was/is in its top period

I think for a while it might be considerably hard to find. Even the DS was impossible to find at various times. It won't last as long as the Wii did though. I've never seen anything like the demand of the Wii.

I highly doubt it--sure, they'll be advertising a lot, and it'll be big no doubt, but you have to remember that this is a revision. It's not a new system. It'd be like if they included Motion+ in all new Wiis--sales would go up, but wouldn't go crazy.

i dont think so. everybody already owns the ds. only the ds hardcore will buy this.

You've got to be kidding me. The DS is still the highest selling platform on most weeks. It came in first last week over the Wii with almost half a million units sold. So it's obvious that everybody does not own a DS, because they are still selling incredibly well. The combination of the 360 and PS3 did not outsell the DS last week.

i expect the dsi to sell upwards of 50 million units when all is said and done
and thats not including the dslit and phat sales.

.. yes it will be hard to find, its so much different from the lite and phat.. its practically a whole new system.

its even going to get its own games..
