Okay so im starting this thread because I bought played and loved Bioshock! The thing is that I came very close to taking a pass on it, because there are so many big shooters coming up, but im so glad i didn't. So what I want everyone to do is tell me what you think. If you are interested but havent bought it yet are you planing on it or not why or why or why not. If you have already bought it what was it that sold you and are you happy with your decision or not. All opinions are welcome. Im not going to freak out if you didn't like it. Okay ready GO!!!

Loved it. Been waiting for it ever since System Shock 2 rocked my world. I'd hoped for a little more of the RPG element SS2 had, but I also realize that this game was pursuing a fairly different goal in trying to be a solid shooter first and an RPG second. The ending was so moving it made me cry (the ending I got anyway). Gorgeous graphics, great sound, great combat and gameplay, and the whole is great beyond the sum of its parts. The overall experience was just phenomenal. Definitely no regrets.

Prediction: Wii passes 360 in US between July - September 2008. (Wii supply will be the issue to watch, and barring any freak incidents between now and then as well.) - 6/5/08; Wow, came true even earlier. Wii is a monster.

Hmm well you can play once more to get the other ending!

btw its a fantastic game, i love it to the core, and so far its game of the year for me



                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

Yeah I got the good ending too. BTW its the first game that Ive played that makes you choose between good and evil that I actually choose good. I couldn't do it I harvested one girl and actualy felt like a jerk. (a game has never made me feel bad for doing bad things before)

Im almost at the end (I think) and this is genuinely the best game i have played since the old days on my N64. Zelda OoT, Goldeneye, Banjo, Mario Kart and Perfect Dark, since then this is the best game ive played, which is saying a LOT

Where you at? currently im trying to turn into a big daddy, if i wasnt doing homework i would finish it, but if not maybe not till weekend i work till sunday /sigh

same ive saved every one, i dont think there is a "middle" ending just good or bad so harvesting 1 wouldnt do much i think

I harvested just one. Just to see what it looked like. I still got the good ending but there is an achivment for saving them all. No big deal though, Its not like im not going to play through it many more times in the future.

My detailed review

In short: flawed gameplay but still really liked it. It will definitely be a contender for game of the year.
