Forums - Nintendo Discussion - No more Mature-rated games for Wii?

1m copies of CoDWaW says otherwise.

MadWorld is pretty atypical and still early. If it has legs it can still hit a million easy as well. Look at RE4 or CoDWaW for comparison.

Yes I know. COD took some time but it started to gain movement later. And it seems like the kind of games that a normal adult would interest.

Listen all. The Wii will keep getting "mature" games because the Wii has the largest install base. And publishers only really know how to make money with "mature" games. For now anyways.

Only 1 third party publisher has been successful with family games so far. That's Ubisoft.

I would actually enjoy shooting Jigglypuffs more than the icky things in the Dead Space universe.

Me too. Also I'd like use water guns and ballons instead of rifle and grenades.

Family Shooters FTW!

This may interest you.

Thank you, OP, for legitimately asking a question instead of posing it like you were 'right' about something like many around here do.

But yeah, we already know about several of M-Rated content coming to Wii, including Darkside Chronicles, Dead Space, No More Heroes, most likely The Conduit, etc.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Another noob, making a stupid thread.

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle just gave you [blank] and would like to say hi.

I am kind of disappointed myself. This is really a great game and I really would like to see more from platinum games.

From my figures I thought that Madworld would have a 70k second weeek as well before dropping into the 30k. Hopefully it legs a bit. It could still reach a mil by 2010. Unfortunately this game has an odd style, niche genre, short gameplay, and is too hardcore for even the hardcore.

Please if you enjoy the game, recommend this to a friend and show it off to people you know. I am holding a halo tournament tommorrow and I am hoping all the players are over 18 so I can showcase madworld as well.

95% of gamers don't know they are noobs, the 5% who do won't be noobs for long

I think madworld was too much of a stretch. The game itself wasn't exactly something to brag about and I'm still wondering if the lack of color turned some people off.

Mature games can still be done on the Wii. I would imagine some of the best games could use the motion sensing better than previous titles. The game developers just have to produce something outstanding with just the right amount of gore + story.

Picture God of War: Luigi. Epicness

Give it some time for the love of God.

My Games of 2011:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Super Mario 3D Land

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

I dislike that kind of attitude of being "right" just as much as you do.

Again, though, I was just panicking/overreacting.  Sorry again for the trouble.

Imagine this....Pokemon Snap gets a remake, but with a 50 Cal rifle replacing your camera and grenades replacing the pokeballs........oh yeah.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2
