people troll on other console because they have nothing on their console to play.

With all the extra time of having nothing to play they are forced to go on vgvhatz and troll....the end.

They troll because they feel that console isnt the best one out simple as that,they always try to prove they have the best graphics,they try to prove that there console is selling the best,they always try to prove that there online is best when its not.

I think it is more to do with that they love there console that much and enjoy that much that they dont understand why someone would by the other console and not the console they own.

But why must they put down the other consoles? If you do love your console so much why must you be insecure about it?

I think there are a lot of reasons for trolling... 

You can troll because:

1) You are bored

2) You are a teen reaffirming your masculinity (i.e. "childlish" game bashing)

3) You know THE truth, and you need to show it to evereybody

4) You are punked in class and it's a way to liberate yourself

5) Nearly anyone knows you for real in the internet, so you can do somethings you wouldn't do in the real life

6) It's fun

And I'm sure I missed some more...

they troll because they're insecure about their console. they might not even own it in some cases, and are merely trying to defend the 'concept' of their console.

More great games = happy (busy) gamers = less trolling!

Varying degrees of Jackassery, whether or not they're just rational people who like to raise some hell, or incredibly insecure, or just incredibly sensitive and clan-minded.

People mostly troll because they don't have enough money to buy all the systems and the games that deep down they know they want to play.

The amount of trollers among the multi-system cohort is very low and usually they come across as rabid fanboys with too much money, buying the 'other' consoles simply to help them validate their own fanboy-ism among their "friend" group and on internet forums.
