Which game is better and would you say ToP is worth 28$?

I've had my eye on ToP for awile, but I'm too much of a pussy to pull the trigger. It's review scores aren't very great, and the people I usually ask for RPG advice haven't played it.

Note: I'm just asking stuff because I'm looking to get into the series outside of Vesperia soon.

ToP is pretty good, just a lil' bit slower than any of the modern games. The sprite-work is absolutely beautiful though!

Let me ask my fiance, she's the one who got me to play Symphonia...

She says Symphonia, though it depends on your metrics of quality.

She liked it enough to send me a copy from 1500 miles away and have me play through it back when it came out.

ToP is definitely worth 28 bucks but you can can find it brand new, factory sealed on ebay for like 18 bucks so even then it isn't much of an investment.

It's an awesome game, go for it.

Phantasia, a classic.

I'm buying Symphonia for sure.

Just looking if I should get both or not, tbh.

Soriku approves.

This is when she ws.... what year did Symphonia come out? 2003? 2004?

She was younger.

She has a better perspective on the game now, to say the least.

I'll ask her for you whenever she gets back from meeting family.

I know she still likes Kratos, and may have bought Vesperia solely for the fight with him.

well, if you can find the translated english version of the original SNES ToP, I say play that one instead, you'd appreciate it more as a SNES game, that thing was ultra cool.
