Good for him. I hope he wins.........although, he doesn't seem to be suing for very much. Is 45K (pounds) what he would have earned in 7 months?

I think he has a valid point for his lawsuit. It is much more legit than these people suing Microsoft many more dollars just for broken 360s. He may also tend to be more feminine in nature so words might affect him more than you or me. Sexual harassment is a serious offense in company eyes usually so it is weird that this behavior was allowed. Plus we don't know the circumstance he was under and how bad the name calling really was.

Next time I hope you take a moment to think about how it would feel if everyone in you school/workplace started calling you offensive names repeatedly.

This is the only lawsuit against MS that I hope does go through. I'm sure it is not in company policy that you cannot be gay or state you sexual preferences in an appropriate manner. Now that is a lot different than your Xbox Live account stating such things.

If the guy was being truly being harassed and he knew who was doing it, something should have been done.  But random accusations of name calling and a couple of emails that I'm sure won't be able to be traced is a rather flimsy case. 

Regardless, I am so tired of all the lawsuits these days.  The courts need to start tossing these cases if their is no real evidence. 

What ever happened to working and earning your money?  Sometimes I think there are to many people looking to get law suit rich.  The courts need to put a stop to all these lawsuits unless they have a real basis.

On another note, how many millionaire's has Microsoft made through stock options and bonuses?  Yea they must treat their employees' like crap.

EDIT: I am disgusted with everything I said in this thread. I used to be an anti-gay right-wing Christian fundamentalist. I am literally the opposite of all of those things and these posts embarrass me.

Its not the same and you know it, besides they're not just saying "you're gay" they are using derogatory terms.

So when Microsoft bought Lionhead, I didn't realize they replaced all the Lionhead employees with homophobes..... Oh that's right. They didn't. So obviously the same people he had worked with previously and had no problems suddenly start picking fun at him? And since Microsoft bought Lionhead it is clearly their fault?

The counseling proposal was simply to help him deal with the harsh conditions and with his depression. Any individual suffering from depression should see a counselor.... duh.
