I doubt if even 10% of 360 users will get this.. but if it did.. i WOULD consider it a success.. lets hope its a not a brick peripheral and gets regular software support from devs...

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

owner of : atari 2600, commodore 64, NES,gameboy,atari lynx, genesis, saturn,neogeo,DC,PS2,GC,X360, Wii

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

I doubt it it'll be a success but if it is it could lead to some wii games being ported which would be good. But tacked on functionality is very rarely a success.

funny how all the single hd console owners are coming out prasing motion controls now and bashed the wii for it, when they could easily have a 360 or PS3 and a Wii and get the same enjoyment I get from owning two consoles.

I don't see how this peripheral will garner 3rd party support from other developers. If I was a 360 developer, do I make my high cost HD game based on a controller with 30M user base or from one that is virtually starting from zero?

Some will say that devs can now offer choice between classic control and motion controls. Look at how wii games that offer that choice do. The "hardcore" stay with the classic control while the "casual"/expanded audience prefer the motion controls. Which type of gamer does the 360 have right now?

Did I say sensing or pointer? You know, that thing we've been arguing about the whole time?

The last part was rich coming from a deluded fanboy whose posts are driven by the hope that his console of choice starts outselling the Wii with this new controller. Good luck with that dream.

Again, nothing to add.  This is called flaming maam, and is a bannable offense.  I'd watch it if I were you.

Ew... No. That's why I bought a Wii. My 360 was for shooters. Wii was for motion control....

Peripherals released later on in the life cycle of a console never have impressivley high attach rates , exactly why HD-DVD had such a low attach rate and exactly why Motion + will have a low attatch rate.

The consumer expects a complete gaming package so buying an additional peripheral ( especialy if it's expensive ) will have to offer some serious incentive to make the purchase worthwhile , I guess Rockband and Guitar Hero offer this sort of incetive.

I think it's too late for this to get any serious 3rd party support , it certainly won't be in any 360 games in the near future and will never be mandatory for big 360 games ever .

HD-DVD had other reasons not to succeed and in some ways it did. MS supported HD-DVD to slow BluRay adoption to slow PS3 sales. No HD-DVD would have made the early price of the PS3 far more acceptable.

WiiFit shows that peripherals released late can succeed.

Finally who wants WiiMote motion controls to become the standard.  As a control for certain types of games the WiiMote is fine as the controller for everything it fails.  Several of Nintendo's big titles play as well or better with a more traditional controller.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

1. The point of my post was to correct your misunderstanding of the one preceding it.  What did you add?

2. Insulting members is a bannable offense.  See examples below.

"People who do not understand such simple things usually have a very happy life.  Ignorance is bliss, so I hear."

Condescending remark directed at lapsed_gamer: "Yes genius."

3. Last time I checked, your username is not Brett nor are you a mod.  You are nobody to be telling people to leave vgchartz.  See quote below.

"And...you can quietly leave.  No one will miss you."

OT: I think The_vagabond7 said it best, Nintendo has proven to be the industry leader.  I actually do hope it catches on with the other systems (if done correctly) as I would like to see motion controls become standard so that they can be improved upon and made to be more intuitive.  (Note: this does not mean that I believe all games should be controlled that way.)  And, as someone mentioned earlier, this would add ease to porting.  However, this company has quite an uphill battle so I don't think this controller will fare too well when it's released.

Seems too gimmicky, lol it does look like a Wiimote though, like the only difference is the home buttons position and the + and - buttons.... doesn't seem to have a nunchuck slot in the bottom though.

At this point I wonder why not, I'd love a PS3 with Sonylized motion controls, that had games that actually used it better than Nintendo has. Only issue is games don't have to have motion controls to be fun to some gamers... those guys won't mind either way I guess.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
