twestern...if you had a PS3 you already have a vested interest in blu-ray.  If you had a PS3 you could watch blu-ray movies.  It is not going to be a "dead" format.  Sony won't switch sides.  Even if no more blu-rays were produced, you could still watch your movies on a PS3.  Again, if you had a PS3 there is a good chance you'll want to watch blu-ray movies on it.

If you don't own a PS3, don't vote in the poll.  You obviously can't put yourself in the mindset of a PS3 owner, unelss you are just that against blu-ray winning even though you payed for the right to use it already (meaning the format is alive in your home no matter what). 

I don't know about you guys, but I personally voted 673 times.

I guarantee you that you that if I had a PS3 I would own no BluRay movies unless I got it for free. I know full and well that the PS3 could always play Bluray movies but if bluRay did die I would have to keep my PS3 handy every time I wanted to watch my BluRay movies. I do not like that.

The other thing I hate is that BluRay movies just cost more. I really don't like spending more on something for something that I can barely even notice in the first place, even if it is just a few more dollars. I shop at Wal-Mart because I save $0.08 on just about every item.

Also remember these are my own reasons.  I'm not telling you to hate next gen formats because of what I'm saying and fuck if I care that you like your movies in 1080p.

looking at the "view all profiles" bit there are over 7.5k people signed up to this site, i would think less than 10% being ps3 owners is low for a site more toward the core gamer side of things [ie gamers bothered about sales]
ok a lot of the profiles are probably inactive [and some may be duplicate] but i would bet there are near 1000 ps3 owners that come to this site often enough to vote in the polls, obviously some ps3 owners wont have voted, and some may vote without ps3, but as said by many its an internet poll so its not going to be accurate.

btw i thought the options were very limited and the question didnt wwork too well for this particular poll, but then i didn't vote.

hey, I am aware internet polls should not be taken as fact, but tbh, if you're participating in something just to ruin it for others, it is questionable behavior.

I have no idea what age you are, but from that comment I'm guessing you're no older than me. And I most certainly do not appreciate stereotyping and stuff like that.

I hate it when 16 years olds think they are all mature in Internet Forums :P (And I know better since I was one of you some 8 years ago...) We discussed N64 vs PSX at that time and new consoles were on the horizon... (Ps2, Xbox, Starcube, Dolphin anyone?)

And before all the hate from Ishy and Tispower is directed at me, I dont hate you, I was just being comical...

(I didnt even list Leo-j as he isnt even 16!! hehe. At his age I actually had my own ICQ account and frequented Irc channels on a daily basis :P) Cell phones were not even popular for fucks sake!
