Microsoft lost in Europe. This is why Microsoft has a post-install option to remove Internet Explorer and install a different web browser in Windows 7.
Once those add-ons get created for chrome, it'll be time to say bye bye to firefox for me. Chrome seems to be faster than FF from my trial. The only thing keeping me are those add-ons and themes from FF.

The OP has much too high standards. It is already 4th out of all web browsers in existance, and the top 3 are all preinstalled on systems (ie on windows, safari on macs and iphone and firefox on most forms of linux.
It is already ahead of Opera - I am impressed. Presumably its market share will increase in coming months and years, especially if this antitrust thing goes through in the EU

You will find that most computer users will not take the time to find out which is the better product and use it. This is the battle most non-microsoft developers are fighting.
It makes me sad that garbage like Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox have greater usage shares than Opera... It amazes me that Firefox got so popular. Sure, it's superior to Internet Explorer and most other browsers out there. But if you can think of a Firefox feature, you can bet that Opera did it first and Opera did it better. Not to mention the fact that Opera comes with a multitude of things that Firefox requires an add-on for. The only thing I can think of is that Firefox simply has a much cooler name than Opera.

I never was a fan of Opera. Its fast and has good features, I just dont like some of their business practices. (Why charge Wii owners to use their browser.. come now.. it should be free)
