Yeah, I've been here for a minute, but what you are talking about - you do realize Sony's in financial trouble big time? Yeah, MS is losing money, but not at the vast amount that Sony is.
You want to know something else? Those stories Gebx was posting - were REAL. It's not some random blog, but sites like The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg - financial Web sites and publications that were reporting news. NEWS. Not propaganda, which offers a favorable view of a particular subject. News is news, whether you like it or not.
If Sony was doing good, financially, you wouldn't hear anything about them. However, if Sony was doing great - or horrible - financially, there will be stories.
You are entitled to your opinion - you can say Gebx was posting all the anti-Sony posts, but in reality, he wasn't cherry-picking - he was posting what was news. Doom and gloom from financial media groups? Blame Sony, not them for doing their job. They wouldn't report on Sony if Sony wasn't in trouble. One of the largest companies in the world squanders the profits from two previous consoles, and gets hit HARD from the financial crisis and you - and a lot of others on this site - say we shouldn't post an article that tells the truth about Sony?
As stated, show the class links to threads where 360 bots are doing personal attacks, critical of one's opinion and the like. You know, I'll lead the class in this exercise. Knowing what I know about posters on this site, they'll just deny - won't show facts/links mammy and keep chirping like wound crows/vultures (insert your bird of prey of choice here _________)

I think that most times, I wish the 360 had a browser, but stuff like this makes me glad it doesn't.

These aren't isolated incidents. Seriously, produce 2 personal attacks from Wii or 360 crowd. Do that and I'll be convinced. However, search all you want and you won't find an instance. If you do find one - shoot, two would be remarkable.
Seriously, the diehard folks who bought a PS3 and are bitter are the ones lashing out the most. They are pissed the system doesn't have more RPGs, doesn't have exclusive content and doesn't have as many exclusives as last gen's leader. THEN, they want people banned from posting anti-Sony news, when it is in fact NEWS.
Maybe if you feel that way, get heated over the way this gen is shaping up, frequenting a Web site with a PS in the domain name is the best for you. If you are that thin skinned, you need some real help.
Hence the OP's question - why so serious?
I think people tend to get too much into a game or the console. It becomes their main priority.

Madskillz, seriously you need to relax. Let me clarify somethings, ask anybody and they will say I'm no fanboy, yes I like the PS3, but to my knowledge I've never said one trollish thing about the 360 or their games, hell I praise some of them. 2nd, I guess I must have misunderstood ur post, so ur talking about ps3 fans making personal attacks. Ok, I agree with u that some do that while 360 fans don't, and I feel that this is because some ps3 fanboys get angered when they are provoked, aka when a 360 guy trolls. The 360 guys don't get angered because from what I've seen, most ps3 fans don't troll first, so they have no reason. Plus, I have a feeling that 360 guys troll just to get a reaction out of sony fanboys. To see how mad they can get, which may lead to a personal attack.
About geb-x, yes u r right, he was posting news, but after awhile it was like beating a dead horse, y need to restate it? We all know Sony is a sinking ship, we all know that they are in last and have an "inferior" game library. A lot of his threads, if I recall, were things that we already knew and discussed long time before in sales threads. When he posted things like that, and the amount of threads he posted, it seemed like he had an ulterior motive. Like he was doing exactly what u said, anti-ps3 propaganda. U may not see it like that, but I'm sure many PS3 fanboys do feel like that. Anyways, I usually stay out of threads like this, because I feel that I'm no fanboy and should not be in a thread that there will be an argument like this, but I thought, better I get into it instead of one of the PS3 fanboys that will just get themselves banned.
