I think Mario Tennis won't sell 100k every week, but it might sell 35k worldwide for several weeks, to the point where it might linger in the Top 20 for a while.  It could fall off like Wii Music too, but we'll see.

Nope but it will Noteworthy legs. I think the crowd that's buying Mario Kart Wii in heavy numbers, might check out Mario Power Tennis as an alternative if the stores they go to lack MKWii.

I read somewhere that there are issues with the motion controlling. I know that you move the character with the nunchuck and swing with the wiimote, so that will probably be attractive to some of the tennis fans.

Personally i enjoy the mario tennis games. The GC/ and gameboy color versions owned :o

No Online = No Big Legs

It won't have legs that long, but Mario on the cover and the $30 price will keep it selling for a long time. It will definitely outsell the Gamecube version (which is at 1.22 mil).

Nope, it'll be a lot closer to Mario Super Slugger and Mario Strikers Charged. Sit low in the top 100 for a while, crawl it's way to maybe 500k - 1m ww and then fade away.

Besides there will be much better Tennis titles out soon - using WM+.

what you really gotta ask yourself is, how can mario stay so fat when engaged in so many physical activities ?

It was a good GC game, I bought it back on Wii and it's still a very fun multiplayer experience. The motion control is not very good, but has a clear improvment over Wii tennis (especially the Wiimote + nunchuck). However, it's not as good as the description of the gameplay made by the reviewer of EA's Tennis game.
