The whole situation reaks of racism and if that's not enough the bolded part reinforces this, also Luisianna? 'Nuff said.

Still this is very sad. A senseless murder.

What does?  What it that story seems to involve racism at all?

The link says "la-na-race-shootings."  Still, let's put that aside for a moment and consider the possibilities...

You're a police officer in a small town and you were just called out to investigate an odd disturbance out in the country.  As you drive up to the location, you see a lot of people (at least 40) milling around and dancing in a large front yard.  You follow your partner as he approaches and out of the corner of your eye you spot an old man in a wheel chair with a strange smile on his face.  You pick up the pace a little to keep up with your partner but your eyes wander back to that old man and a strange object you didn't notice before--a gun.  Why is the old man holding a gun?  The question confuses you for a moment but you quickly notice the old man is raising it.  Cold fear creeps down the back of your neck making your hair stand on end as you shout for him to stop and the party stops instead.  All eyes are on you now... and the man hasn't dropped his gun.  He's still raising it.  It's almost pointing at your partner as you shout again.  You see the man reaching for the trigger followed by a loud bang and look down to see your own gun had somehow made its way to your hands.  You tremble slightly as you look up from the barrel to see the old man, blood now leaking from his chest, as the gun falls from his hands to the ground.  Dozens of people around you look on in horror and... anger.  You vaguely hear your partner talking into the radio and watch as he tries to take charge of the situation by moving people back and away from the old man.  Your heart pounds painfully against your chest as beads of sweat dot your forehead.  Why did this have to happen?

Very good webster. Now in all honesty, can you really say that the justice system or ANY aspect of our society is colorblind? Don't be naive.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

i mention a possibility like this a couple pages back, but it completely lacks the dramtic story-telling ability you seem to have!

A journalist doesn't want a story like that though, they want a story to get everyone worked up, and get their article more attention, so they will take the other side of the story.

I'm just curious, do you actually think that any cop is stupid enough to tamper evidence in front of 40 people, who happen to be the family of the victim that just got shot?

I'm not saying it didn't happen, but geeze, why even bother trying to cover something like that up.

Given the size and scope of the justice system, and a society of 300,000,000+ people, no, I don't think it's colorblind. But to assume that every instance of whites and blacks getting mixed up is racial is to be prejudiced against the possibility of civility between both racial groups. The article gives no insinuation that the attack was racially motivated, and here you are crying 'race! race!' - it shows that you are certainly not colorblind, and may be doing more harm than good. Again, we must demand justice in an attack - regardless if it was done with racial overtones, homophobic, religious, or otherwise. All attacks are perpetrated due to some sort of bias. To prioritize them shows that you do want to show preferential treatment.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I'm not screaming it the article itself is implying it. This is simply a situation where your perspective is determining your perception as is mine. Racism is ingrained into our society, there is no "separating it" There is however, working "around" it and within it. Which is what we as a society have to continually do. I'm all for racial harmony that is (I would hope) one of the ultimate goals of our society. But to get there we need to call things as they are and not just how they should be.

If we ignore a cut it becomes a scar, if we treat the wound it can heal.

Calling things as they are is fine. But your insinuating that something is there, despite no evidence. Your taking a cut, and ripping it into a larger wound. 'Healing' doesn't come by blowing a situation out of proportion, but by fairness to all involve parties. Racial harmony doesn't come by rioting, bickering, pointing fingers, and blowing things out of proportion. It comes from a premise that we're all created equal, endowed by our creator with equal rights. If those rights become inequal, we must seek to ensure they become equal again.

Racism isn't ingrained into our society. Blacks & Whites have been living together in America ever since Africans came over on the boats - not to mention the dark-skinned Indian tribes. Racism does exist, but it's not ingrained thanks to having a whole generation now living in equality. Of the hundreds (if not thousands) of people I know, I can only say that 1 has a prejudice against blacks. So if in my case, 99.9% of people I know aren't racist, then I don't think it's an ingrained issue. Merely retards holding on to some ancient Hitler-esque ideas of racial supremacy.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Nah that's not what I'm doing buddy, but that's find if you don't see that. I'm done here.

Maybe some of the people commenting here should experience a bit of racism in real life, then they'll know why it's so easy to spot in a situation like this. Of the hundreds of people that I've known/met, plenty of them are racist. Anecdotal evidence = fact.
