Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rare speak about making a Donkey Kong Country 4, if Nintendo ask for it

Why would a Microsoft company make a Nintendo game?

- and as ItsaMii says.....Rare sucks now. (compared to what they used to be)

Did you totally miss my post, or think I was joking? Rare already made a game for Nintendo, and they are making another. And so is Mistwalker, another Microsoft funded company.

Microsoft has also hinted at wanting to bring Viva Pinata to the Wii after it's released on the DS. I wouldn't be surprised if the party Viva game gets released on the Wii as well. I really don't think MS cares where it gets it's money. Money is money and both the Wii and DS print it... so why not go for it? I'd love to see Microsoft drop it's hardware business and start developing games for the Wii and DS. They could make back all their money this gen if they did. (Not that the 360 is a bad system and that they should stop supporting it... that'd be dumb)

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

And seeing Rare's work with all of their recent projects, Viva Pinata aside, I wouldnt recommend them butchering another Nintendo franchise. (I enjoyed Starfox Adventures but it couldve been much better and truer to the franchise.)

Their recent games (last 3 360 games) have been pretty solid efforts so it's not like a game from them is going to be automatically bad.

Never really liked the ape. Well, only in Donkey Kong on GB aka Mario vs Donkey Kong.

I have lost alot of faith in Rare since they went to MS. I dont actually want any of their games to be honest. Its hard to say that when that company made some of my favorite games ever. But I just have not liked their output since they left. I cant believe how bad they screwed up PDZ. That was a complete letdown after Perfect Dark on 64. I would rather Nintendo gave DKC to EAD to be reinvented and done right to be honest. Rare needs to do a few more good games (Viva is one but its outweighed by the other garbage they have released). If they can get themselves together then maybe.

well so far Rare has/is making games only for the DS, so they're not directly competing with MS.

If they release a DK game for Wii, that would be a different story...
