I'd love to see more games on the Wii. No matter who makes them. But SE seems to sell a lot of games, so I'd really love to see them make games for the Wii.

You're right that SE should increase support of the Wii since it's doing so well. However, you can't say that nintendo is owed by SE anything. Nintendo benefitted from their relationship as well. Besides, business is business. Moving to a different system during the mid-nineties made sense because carts were still so damn expensive.

Will the Final Fantasy Series return to Nintendo? I have no idea. But with the series struggling as much as it is despite the fact that XII was a quality game shows that Nintendo may not really need them anyway.

Square saved themselves, Nintendo being the main platform really doesnt matter, they could have used SEGA's platform. Square was in a whole, Final Fantasy was their make or break game. It was a massive make. Your general theory about Square needing Nintendo can be considered false due to the fact all Nintendo is mainly getting either spinoffs, kiddier games (crystal chronicles was originally kiddish), or ports of old games. This is typically called being used. Just like, what company was it, Capcom? Using Nintendo to fund their bigger projects, FFXIII, FFvXIII, and that one new MMO.

If SE had any sense they'd make the next dragon quest on the wii.

Im not so sure that they'd make final fantasy 14 for the wii tho. To me the final fantasy games have always been for the graphic whores. :P

You need to remember that companys are going to choose profit over loyalty any day. If SE had stayed loyal to nintendo all these years then there would be a good chance that they would themselves been bankrupt long before now

Sony was taunting then with the cd?

I hope the next main DQ is indeed on a home console,don´t care if it´s on PS3,360 or Wii,as long as it´s not on a handheld again.

I don't see them as owing anything to Nintendo. I would love to see increased Nintendo support, but I don't see why Ps3 and 360 fans should be left out. With three home consoles and two handhelds, there are plenty of opportunities for SE to make games for everyone.

I agree with FF being for graphic whores, but only from 7 on. Seven was the game that gave many gamers a reason to be graphic whores.

 The cd's that the PS1 used were far cheaper to manufacture than the cartridges nintendo's consoles used

I think we can pinpoint the exact time when everything went downhill for nintendo. Once Final Fantasy had gone to the ps1 due to the cd there was no looking back for sony and they took japan.
