Forums - Nintendo Discussion - So who has completed madworld?

It's been out for 5 days now, and its not exactly a long game. Who has gone through madworld for there first time yet?

Today I finished the game on the first difficulty, and I'm more than satisfied with the game as a total. There was alot of awesome boss fights, and alot of awesome kills. I enjoyed the storyline, and the cut scenes that went with it. Graphics were beautiful and very stylish. I actually thought the gameplay was really well done, and it felt fresh to me. I heard alot of talk of the gameplay being repetitive but I never felt that way to be honest.

I really can't wait to play it again on hard, and try the multiplayer mode. At this point I'd say that it's worthy of a 9/10+ score. Fantastic game, and I hope everyone that can afford it goes out and supports it.

So what are your thoughts? and let's keep this thread spoiler free.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

I'm a few hours in. It's definitely an amazing game. I don't regret buying it one bit.

It would be cool if everyone who posts here says their playtime after they beat it.

It would be good to see the various lengths and find an average.

I think that the lack of length, less than fun motorcycle sections, and framerate issue I noticed in those same motorcycle sections puts it to a mid 8 for me. Great game with distinctive issues that keep it from being at the top tier.

edit: 5 hours playtime

...

Took me around 5 hours to beat it. I agree with Torillian on the motorcycle stages dragging it down. The framerate drops were way more common then they should have been, and they dropped low. The game even froze up for a couple seconds a few times.

My other big problem with the game was the grinding kills you had in a few levels. I enjoyed killing people well enough, and I espeicalluy liked exploring the environment for new ways to kill people. The problem is a lot of the items end up being just re-skins of each other. More than half the items either went through, or over top of the head.

A fun game all and all. OVerly short, and the announcers annoyed me to no end but still fun. I will probably buy it once the price drops some. I absolutely loved the style of the game, and the combat was varied enough to normally stay interesting for the entire level. Essenially this game is a No More Heroes clone with a lot of the rough spots ironed out. Hopefully this means the next No More Heroes manages to one up it and deliver a more amazing game than originally expected.

Beat it. . Was repetitive. had framerate drops. Still loved it.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Oh yeah, i've definitely noticed the framerate drops. The way they work, though, is they only seem to happen when something big happens (like when a few enemies break through a door to rush you), so its almost like a dramatic pause. It doesn't seem to lag down at all during general play.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Thanks... we bought MadWorld today but haven't played it yet.. wasn't sure if it was going to be good or not. It got pretty good reviews but then so did a lot of lackluster Wii games.
