Si le carton commercial de Resident Evil 5 n'est d'ores et déjà plus un mystère, les performances françaises du jeu d'action/horreur Capcom n'étaient pour l'heure pas connues. C'est désormais chose faite, puisque l'éditeur s'est décidé à communiquer sur ses chiffres de ventes dans l'Hexagone, fournis par l'institut GfK. Sur PS3 et Xbox 360, RE 5 se serait ainsi vendu à quelque 110.555 exemplaires chez nous, "soit plus de 50% de la mise en place" d'après l'éditeur. C'est logiquement la version PS3 qui s'est la plus vendue, nous a confirmé Capcom ce vendredi, avec 62.040 unités écoulées contre "seulement" 40.135 pour la Xbox 360. Les versions collector du jeu ont été vendues à plus de 5000 unités sur PlayStation 3, contre environ 3200 pour Xbox 360. Au total, le chiffre d'affaires des ventes du jeu s'élève à 7,7 millions d'euros chez nous. A titre de comparaison, GfK crédite les deux derniers Resident Evil sortis en France sur Wii, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition et Resident Evil : The Umbrella Chronicles, à respectivement 190.000 et 95.000 unités. D'après une représentante de Capcom jointe au téléphone, la version PlayStation 2 de RE 4 s'est d'abord vendue à 90.000 unités à prix fort, avant d'écouler 80.000 copies supplémentaires en version Platinum.

But without colle editions the total is around 102k.

And, very late too, here is how the new releases of this week performed in the UK full-price charts :

In the UK All-Format chart for this week (All-Price, the one Chart-Track comments on) :

  • "Resident Evil 5" takes the 1st place.
  • "SOCOM : US Navy Seals Confrontation" begins in place 11.
  • "Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force" starts in place 16.
  • "Sonic and the Black Knight" begins in place 30.

In the UK PS3 chart for this week :

  • "Resident Evil 5" takes the 1st place.
  • "SOCOM : US Navy Seals Confrontation" being a budget price game, it didn't chart there, but still took 1st place in the budget chart.

In the UK 360 chart for this week :

  • "Resident Evil 5" takes the 1st place.
  • "Championship Paintball 2009" begins in place 33.

In the UK Wii chart for this week :

  • "Sonic and the Black Knight" begins in place 5.
  • "Job Island: Hard Working People" starts in place 27.

  • "Eve Online" begins in place 8.
  • "World in Conflict: Complete Edition" takes the place 14.
