Forums - PC Discussion - Post your PC pictures.

I decided to make this thread after reading ZenfoldorVGI's thread and seeing the pictures he put up.  So, even though I'm sure this type of thread has been made before, I thought it would be fun to see everyone's insides.  Their PC insides that is.  So, lets see it, show me your stuff.

I built this PC about 2 months ago and I'm glad to say it has been my best so far.  My best at cable management.  Windows installed easier than any other time (damn RAID drivers!).  Every part worked from the start and to top it all off, it's cool, very cool (heat wise, but it's kind of loud).

Ok, I got all of them up.  I guess 6 is enough.  It's tough to get a good angle.  I actually have my case beind my computer desk.  The only wall that the desk could fit on isn't long enough for the case to sit next to it.  I can't tell you how annoying it is to put discs into the drive.

The CPU fan that I purchased was actually too big for the case side door fan that I purchased to fit with the door closed.  So, I actually had to saw the top corner of the door fan off, then I superglued it to the case door.  Crazy but it worked.  I also think for the first time I did a great job at cable management except for that bottom right corner, ahhhh.

wow what a great case you have

Let's see it from the front, Diablerie!

Here's my PC (more pictures this time) from the other thread:

My messy desk, and the "beast" in all its glory. Yes, the 5.25" floppy drive is connected and working. It's a 2.4GHz 60nm Core 2 Duo with an nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX and an Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer. I have 3 x 500GB HDDs in it and 2GB of RAM. As I said before, it runs Crysis, but also ADoM, Prince of Persia, Commander Keen, Jazz Jackrabbit, Wacky Wheels, etc. The front panel can be configured to say "Hi" and "Lo".

The "beast" (actually, I call her Fastrand) before heading off to a LAN. Here you can see my excellent choice in chunky keyboard.

The innards! It's really tight in here. There's about 3-4mm between the cables and the CPU fan, and about 4cm of pure cabling between the back of the removable drive block and the power supply. There's cabling down the side, in the centimetre between the edge of the case and the edge of the removable drive block. There's a token cable tie on top of the drive block holding some doubled over ribbon cable from the 5.25" drive. There's half a PCB for a USB floppy drive controller "floating" below the DVD drive, and you can see the rest of the cabling and USB adapters to the left (cable tied!). On hot days, I just don't run it. It's all worth it for the classic look of the case :).

A close-up view of the innards.

The better to eat you with my dear.

And to The Lurker, I'll do that in the morning, I'm much too drunk at the moment to start that task.

Ok, here is the front, botton and top.  As you can see, the case is behind the tiny desk.  And because I moved here after I purchased my speakers and I have no where else to put them, they are stuck on the desk.

FastFord58, we have the same PSU but mine is upside down, do you have a vent under your fan?  Also, I really really wanted that BFG card but I had to settle for the ASUS version at the time (BFG was out of stock).  Also, what GPU are you rockin?

Jealous of that monitor there....wish I could afford one :(

sadly I havent taken any after my new PSU was installed, imagine that the cables are actually neat.

Nice monitor, I bought the same a month ago. it's EPIC !
But I think yours is a bit tinier. How big is it ? 22" ?

Got any problems when you tried to pop the stand into your monitor ? ^^

Yeah, it's the 22"  It's hard to see but it's the T220

I really wanted the 24" and I almost got it, but I found out that it wouldn't fit.  Which sucks because I only got this desk because it's width was just right for the space I had on the wall for it.  The stand fit alright, but if you look at the picture, the monitor is basically touching the top shelf.  I had a huge problem with the monitor being extremely wobbly (even when typing).  But I somehow wedged it slightly under the shelf and every since then it's been perfect.
