No offense dude but no....first off nintendo is a gaming company and a trading card and namco bandi toy making company.  Their profits come from their gaming side of the business.  Sony not only has the gaming side as in the playstation brand (Ps2, Ps3, Psn,and Psp) but also tv's, blu-ray players, DVD players,camcorders, computers (vaio), sony pictures, sony music, BMG, and I believe they also dabble in columbia pictures and portable music players.  I guess what I am saying is sony is a electronics giant (ranked 3rd most purchased supplier of HD tv's in the united states behind sammy and vizio in 2008).  I know most people want to think that gaming is all sony does, but that is not the case and if they wanted to purchase nintendo....they could.  But what fun would that be.....everyone is not EA or microsoft and nintendo would not want to be bought out especially because they are doing so well currently.

Well that is why it's unrealistic

Well Sony tends to buy companies which they have already worked with, and companies that want to be bought to improve themselves. That makes:

- Media Molecule
- Slant Six
- High Impact Studios
- Relentless Software (Buzz!)
- ??

I always thought they would aquire Ready At Dawn and possibly Ninja Theory, but I guess their financials didn't allow that. Now that they are moving on I doubt Sony is still interested.

It's too late for Level 5, they've grown alot, but the biggest problem is they're making the most money from Nintendo platforms (DS!). They have not much to gain from being aquired by Sony.

if they buy a company.............there goes your potential PS3 price cut funds.

its owned by konami so i dont think that it will happen anytime soon,and anyways if they did by kojima productions then they wont get the metal gear games because konami owns the ip

If it would bought Sega then it would have Sonic right?

Something they should do, which is probably cheaper: make a new studio of their own instead of buying one. This studio's main focus should be the Japanese market.

- mainly JRPG's for the consoles
- mainly 2D platformers for the handhelds

Personally I would love for them to go for MM.

As for the From Software option, I love Armored Core.
