Wow ,IGN sure hates the PS3 .

Oh really? Let us take a look.

Ign Ps3 reviews. 0.6% above average

Ign wii reviews. 0.5% above average

Ign 360 reviews. 0.3% above average

http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/sitedetails.asp?siteid=1188

Conclusion: What you actually mean is ''Im a PS3 fanboy and they are rating the games I hope will sell the system lowly.''

The only claim you can possibly make about ign being biased towards the ps3. Is that they prefer it to the wii and 360.

Wow, Zim that's a neat feature of GameRankings I didn't know about.  Having explored a little more, it's evident that the general impressions in other threads of IGN, 1up and GameSpot are accurate.  IGN has the closest reviews accross systems, and rates more posititvely in general than the other two sites.  GameSpot is fairly close (PS3 = +0.1, 360 = -1.0, Wii = -2.0), with a slight systematic bias against the Wii and an even slighter one against the 360.  That fits in well with the fact that they're all over the map for ratings.  And 1up is the most hardcore of the three, and definitively has an anti-Wii bias.  (PS3 and 360 ~= -3.5, Wii = -10.0).

So there, the proof is in the proverbial pudding, and that debate is over.  Thanks.

Actually, Gamespot's % from average is really weird if you look closely at their game scores. They lowball games like Zelda and Metroid while giving a game like Warioware the best score out of all the Wii games. They have a lot of titles with large differences in ratings. For Warioware to be their highest rated Wii game, I have to throw out all their opinions. It's a fun game but I wouldn't give it higher than an 8.5/10

 Warioware91% +9.3%
 Twilight Princess88%-6.3%
 Metroid Prime 385%-7%
 Super Monkey Ball83%+10%
 Red Steel55%-10%
 Scarface               58% -12.8%
 Far Cry Vengeance55% +17.5%
 Harry Pottwer OotF 50% -21%

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

Completely off topic, but it's insane how great Warioware was. Did you play the 12 player multiplayer, Star Nose, and bungie Buddies? The singple player was pretty lacking but playing that game with 11 other people was some of the most fun I've had in a long time. I don't remember what they gave Warioware, but it definitely deserves a 9+.

Well ,statistic discussion is too long .If I say that GRAW 2 is identical to the 360 version is because IGN own review says so so they should give the same award .Plus ,the online is the same so no reason to bring the score down .

Second ,I have extensively played Darkness in PS3 and there is no frame rate issue .Maybe once the reviewer with an insane number of action on screen and doing a lot of things saw some frame rate issues ,but the same can be said about the 360 version .

Obviously for Tiger Woods Gamespot may think the PS3 version controls better and IGN dont think the same .Thats the issue ,though ,IGN doesnt tend to think ever that the PS3 version does something better .Not even with Oblivion ,the game that all the sites recognize run better on PS3 ,did they mention it or weight it in the score .

Examples put apart ,no IGN review will make me think Lair is a worse game than Joust ,Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer or Pirates of the Caribean ....all those suck to the maximum level and have very low production values (nor Pirates that has some good graphics ) but IGN score is lower than even those ....

After IGN score we should believe this is one of the 3-4 worst games in the PS3 catalogue and definitely the worst of the full price games .

This review is crap .

That's a limited list of games but it's almost like Gamespot is typecasting the Wii.

On topic, @diomedes, that would be because the reviewer considers it one of the worst games on the PS3.

And just to end this discussion here you have Lair ratings from the mags

IGN.com 08/30/07 4.9 /10 4.9
GameZone Online 08/30/07 7.5 /10 7.5
GameDaily 08/30/07 3 /5 6.0
PSM 08/24/07 5 /10 5.0
Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) 07/30/07 6 /10 6.0
Play Magazine 07/29/07 9 /10 9.0

And the average from the users in IGN own website is 6.60 with some 200 people voting .

So ,this game may not be a killer app or anything but IGn has scored it the lowest possible and 1.7 points less than the average user would .That reinforces my idea that the reviewer just got frustrated with the game .But as you will see after HS this is the second high profile game where the IGN score is the lower out there .And that was what I was speaking about .

Way to move the argument to the Wii there buddy. Since opinion matters in console quality I suppose the PS3 only has crap games and isn't going to get any even near quality until mid 2009.

And I thought that list of worse games was for all console and got confused how this game rated lower than Bomberman Zero. :-p

First of all - I'm not your buddy ... and yes opinions matter. We have more than 100 posts crying about Lair here. Is it nothing? PS3 survived the drought. Lineup is strong. No reason for compassion, also there is broad group of people who don't find Wii games attractive. RE4, MP3C and Zelda. Nothing more for me. If I find it so great as you do I would just buy it. I even deleted my post in "2 games per system thread" because I wasn't able to find two games I like to play on Wii before December.

BTW: Take a look on my sig - none of Wii games can face this line... Which title would you put against?

Edit:

It's -> Is it

Why yes, I'm going to believe an average fan review rating system where a game that has not been released has 302 votes (see Heavenly Sword).

Im waiting for gametrailers, if they gave the game an 8.0 or higher, Im going to say ign is biased.

Did I miss the part where you said you got yours from one of the retailers that broke the street date?

Ignore the statistics if you want -- it's your right.  I (and most gamers with a few spare brain cells to dedicate to thinking) use reviews as a guide and go with the consensus rather than a single point of view.  If 10 gaming rags review the same game and give it a crap score, all based on similar flaws, I run the other way.  So far, Lair isn't doing so well on a composite basis (63% or so.... but will change with more reviews).  That's more what I'm looking at.  By the same token, if the reviews are all over the map, I'll check it out for myself as that indicates that the "statistics" are accurately portraying anything...

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

I'm not your buddy!? Why do you got to be sippin' on some hatorade like that yo?

Heavenly Sword
Easy-- Dragonblade. I imagine both will score pretty similar and both are god of War knockoffs.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Fuck i don't know, I've only played Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden II and haven't paid much attention to the series beyond that. Is that just a classic beat em up? I'm sorry there isn't a Wii game like Ninja Gaiden. We'll just put Super Smash Bros. Brawl to fill Ninja Gaiden's spot.

Virtua Fighter 5
Wii is getting Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 with exclusive online which is pretty fair. While DBZ may not be your thing, I hate Virtua Fighter. It's one of those opinions thing but works nicely for camparing games on your sig.

Resistance: Fall of Man
I'm sorry but this game is crap. It's a decent launch game but it was very rushed and easy to break. Try just running through a level and ignore the bad AI. You'll miss triggers and walk up on enemies standing there because they haven't been turned on yet (though they still render for some odd reason). how about we put Metroid Prime 3 in place of this since they're both shooters (don't give me the adventure crap :-p).

Warhawk
I don't think there are any decent Wii flight sims out there (not to my knowledge yet) and especially online only ones. How about we sy this one compares to Mario Strikers Charged. Sure, Strikers actually has single player but you play it for multiplayer.

Well there you go, an answer for every game in your sig. What do you have for an answer for these games coming out this year:
Dewey's Adventure
Zach and Wiki
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Super Mario Galaxy
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Guilty Gear XX
My Sims
Mercury Meltdown Revolution
Brothers in Arms: Double Time
NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams
Ninja Breadman (how can you not love this?)
Puzzle Quest
Naruto clash of the Ninja Revolution
Guitar Hero III with exlusive features
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Battalion Wars
