Forums - General Discussion - MrBubbles Reviews Watchmen(movie)

so i picked up the graphic novel a little while ago and only read a few chapters so far.   but decided i would go see the move anyway.

i was hooked from beginning to end.  i had read a few hateful posts on this site earlier that day and was a little concerned that it was going to be bad.  thankfully...it was awesome.   i thought the characters were well done and the movie flowed really well.  it didnt seem confusing at all so im not sure why people had trouble following what was happening.  i also really enjoyed the music.

it was a masterpiece and i demand you all go see it immediately.

i rate it 26/1

Still haven't seen it, but I plan to tomorrow night. Glad to hear more positive input about the film. I was worried before. Now I'm just hyped!!

Well that settled it. I am definitely not going to see The Watchmen.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

as of right now I suggest you renting it at least. It is a great movie even though it doesnt follow the novel to the T.

Other then one change made... it does follow the novel to a T...

and when you think about it.

The change that was made was a good one.

The novel was still way better... but it probably would of been even better with that one change.

Watch the Shawshank Redemption. Best Movie Ever!
