Ever since Nintendo pretty much said we no longer support Hardcore gaming at E3 1up has been down on them hard. I have played the Wii version of this game and even as a fanboy of Sony I did not think it was that bad. I really think these guys are on thier way out with OPM gone, Luke Smith off to MS, and now John is also leaving, 1up could be 6 feet down.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Nintendo said that? You have a link?

The closest thing I can find is the press release directly from Nintendo that says:

...Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. “We continue to push the boundaries of creativity for these new audiences, even as we blur the lines between core and casual gamers.”

EDIT same press release says:

“We’re building on that foundation with games and accessories appealing to our current fan base and drawing in even more new players.”

Stop disproving him.  He wasn't trying to report facts, he was just trying to take a cheap shot.

In other news, 1UP gamerankings data:

Site's Avg Ratio For WII: 58.7%
GR Avg Ratio for WII titles this site has reviewed: 68.2%
Difference: -9.5%

GR score of Wii Madden: 7.7

Is anyone surprised?

Off topic, steven did Leo-j really still disbelieve you with the other sig? That's incredibly sad, and at the same time very amusing.

@Naznatips: Sorry, you know how I get.  I hate trolls and flamers. Argh!  It's ok to make jokes, you know?  I do it, most of the users higher post counts do it.  But I hate when people just take cheap shots at any console.  Do they think that they are going to convince somebody to buy one system over another?

Oh, and yes leo-j still thinks I don't own one... because I was making fun of six axis usage.  Not that I think Six-Axis is bad, I just have yet to have a good experience with it.  Lair and Warhawk might change that.

I know that the owners of 1Up and EGM has been trying to offload the both of them as a package deal. Problem is that buyers only want one. Which one was that again? I can't remember off the top of my head. They have both been sucking rather hard lately... EGM with their lair review, and 1Up with this (and my previous criticisms of the whole staff being inexperienced).

No, I don't blame you at all. I do the same thing. I often respond so harshly that I end up creating more problems than the person who posted the troll in the first place. At least 75% of these 2000 + posts are responding to troll posts.

Off topic again, that's hilarious. I played Warhawk on my friends PS3 when he had the Beta and I had a blast. It's easily worth the price to me (if I had a PS3 of course). The Warhawk motion controls had a pretty steep learning curve, and it took me a solid 45 minutes of doing nothign but messing around with them to master them, but they really were very fun once you got them down. Playing that beta made me wish even more that the Wii had come with a small 10GB hard drive for a demo channel.

Off topic on the off topic, Planet Earth is awesome.

I really don't know where 1up is trying to go with this anti Wii bias.  They are free to have that bias, but as far as a commercial website, I would think that it would be in their best interest to be as balanced as possible.

I haven't played it, but from reading the other reviews I see it like this: at worst, the Wii version (I think) is still on par or better than the PS2 version because it adds in better online, pretty solid motion controls, lots more mini-games, and best of all the "Telestrator".

off-off-topic: Planet Earth changed my life. It had me saying two things the whole time I was watching it, "I wish I lived on that planet, and I wish I had a 1080p television for it.

Watch this if you don't own it.

Bias towards casual way easy gamplay style of the wii titles, yes.

And yes planet earth kicked ass, i wish there was more action.
