Master of Olympus: Zeus. Its part of the City Building series (as is Caesar) and developed by the same guys. Its better than the first four or so Causer games as well. Also try out Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 & 2. The third game is good but the gameplay isn't upto the standard of the first two. They are old games though but hunt around and you should find them at sensible prices. Gamesplanet for example is currently selling Zeus for £4.88.

Capitalism if you can find a copy. #1 and #2 are pure genius.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Older releases:
Tropico
Tropico 2
Anno 1701 aka 1701 A.D. (the series is huge in Germany, sequel Anno 1404 will be released this year)
The Settlers II The Next Generation (10th Anniversary remake of the best of all Settlers games)

Note: I haven't played any of them, as I don't own a PC anymore, but I liked Anno 1503 on PC as well as Anno 1701 on DS and the Settlers I/II/III were among my favourite PC games. I heard the two Tropico games (which seem to be quite different from each other) are very good, too.

New promising release this month: Grand Ages: Rome

Maybe MS Excel and starting your own business. lol

Around the Network

CivCity: Rom (Ancient world)
The Guild 2 (Medieval, lots of bugs)
Tycoon City: New York (modern)

Imperialism. Badass game.

Try  PrizeRebel , it could make you  rich ! I have  $15.80 USD  so far. I  love  BengaBenga' Most Wante lists.

Also Railroad Tycoon 3 seems to be a good sequel.

I played the original Railroad Tycoon from 1990, which is one of Sid Meier's classics, but I assume it's not playable on modern PCs anymore and I have to admit the graphics hurt the eyes today.

I don't know about the third one, but Railroad Tycoon 2 is certainly good because I own it :P

there's OpenTTD too which is an open source version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe with a lot of improvements, especially nterface ones which makes the game much easier to play.

I also suggest Pizza Syndicate (aka Fast Food Tycoon) because it's also humorous (much in the vein of good old Constructor), you can hire the mob and other stuff to hurt the competition.

and I agree, Settlers 2 is the best one.

about Capitalism, if you plan to buy them, GoodOldGames is selling Capitalism 2 for 9.99 and Capitalism Plus for 5.99 http://www.gog.com/en/search/sort/search/capitalism

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
