Forums - Sony Discussion - Killzone 2 NEW patch

I was content with the previous controls, but these new ones are definately more fun to play with in MP.

Playing: InFamous, Super Robot Taisen OG Saga, Modern Warfare 2

Around the Network

I had to turn down my sensitivity online so maybe they changed something, or maybe I was drunk.

Still can't kill Radec in SP.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

It took a while, but I had success with the shotgun

I don't really note differences with the controls before and after the patch because I'm playing on a different TV than I was throughout this past week and I had to increase the sensitivity because what felt normal on the previous TV felt slow on this TV.

It probably helps that I didn't have any big issues with multiplayer controls like the other people who violently defended their position that they apparently sucked.

I am stuck on the second floor.  I think it is the final wave before the next checkpoint.  They rush from the left and right and I think Rico is catching a smoke or something.

Ah yes,

That part is VERY hard. I was playing up till that point on veteran, but I had to eventually settle on trooper (Normal?) so I can at least beat the game. Rico is literally the worst help you could possibly have in that level as he goes down if the enemy so much as glance at him. I believe the rocket launchers are one of the last few waves, but it sucks that they're the hardest. When they come out, you could try to grab a sniper rifle and hide by the junk piles near the top of the stairs on either side of the room. Radec likes to throw grenades up there, but you can get some protection from the rocket launcher guys.

I believe beating the game on elite is the only trophy for beating the game on a certain difficulty. Thus, you'd be fine if you wanted to simply lower the difficulty level for that last section of the game.

I believe once the rocket launcher soldiers come out, you're nearly done and can fight Radec. I believe beating the game on elite is the only trophy for beating the game on a certain difficulty, thus you'd be just fine in lowering the difficulty for the last section of the game.

And then, as if you don't hate Rico enough already, the final cutscene happens...

I finished it on Trooper, 8.5 hours.

(Former) Lead Moderator and (Eternal) VGC Detective

I beat the game in just under eight hours. I played it on veteran up until the last section of the last level, where I had to switch to trooper so I can at least beat the game.

Seriously, Rico should suffer... Perhaps he'll be the biggest target of the remaining ISA forces and the Helghast will want to make quite an example of him should they capture him.

Easiest way, I think, and only if you want some help, is to run to the Intruder that has crashed into the room and grab the ISA M82s so you have full ammo, then sprint to the door you originally entered on the first floor. Stand with you back to the corner so that Radec can't cloak in behind you, then just empty a clip in his tummy each time he appears in front of you and rushes with the knife. If you run out of ammo, there will additional weapons right there beside you in that entry way. Repeat this until Radec goes up to the second floor, then run up the staircase on the right, grap a bazooka, and hit him once with a shell to end the sequence.
