Okay I have a question some what off topic, but with THQ laying off testers, as well as other game companies...

...how do you guys feel about getting games that go out not thoroughly tested? Cause some of those bug fixes in 1.20 seem like they should have been caught BEFORE release.

Seems to have become the unfortunate norm

I KNOW RIGHT! ...and I'm worried that it may get worse because of the fact that testers GENERALLY are first to go when game companies layoff. If they out source the testing to me you don't get the same kind of attention that you would having your own staff. =p

WOW!! GG are fast with there patches i didnt notice a thing

Don't scream about the controls.
I downloaded the patch, played 2 hours, then came here and found out that there is new "cod-like" controls.
I didin't notice it,so don't worry.

It became one of the unfortunate norms when Microsoft entered the videogame market and we started to have HDD in the consoles. It is one of the reasons I'm happy Nintendo doesn't allow patches on their system.

AGREED & AGREED.

It's the double edge sword of having HDD's in consoles. =/

...because patching Wii Speak to Mario Kart, or patching that game breaking Tomb Raider Underworld switch bug would be terrible things?

There are downsides and upsides. I think the upsides outway the downsides. Some people may think differently.

That si what happens when the beta testers are plucked from sites of fanboys.  They are too busy yelling about how they are int he beta, and the game is the best thing since the wheel to you know..actually test the game and report bugs.  A lot actually find bugs and keep quite hoping than can abuse it in the final release if it isn't found.

hahaha right, right. Thing is THAT style of testing MAYBE become more of the norm...And really from a business stand point, it makes sense. Get the MAJOR bugs discovered for free, and fix the fine bugs later.

Mixed results on the forums regarding the control tweaks. Some players say that nothing changed, other say that they feel better... I suppose the tweaks were so subtle that we're seeing a textbook placebo effect in many cases :)

I am away from home for a few days, then I'll repeat a few measurements with stopwatch and see if I can find measurable differences in the acceleration.
