Sorry, but this list is bullshit (mostly).

Well, I guess that's one way to prevent fading...

Best Buys and Targets in my area don't do that though; they use tall (lighted IIRC) enclosures although they do go all the way to the floor of course. Mostly the type of thing you describe would be more expected at small, possibly independent stores.
Need to send the manager of my local Best Buy ( and all the team in charge of the gaming department) to your Best Buy then.

They have a lot to learn !!!!!!!!!

Seriously someone with half a brain would put the consoles at the bottom and then the games above and keep a console more easilly accessible for those that want a look at the Box...

Well to be honest it's been a while since I was in Best Buy, actually I don't think that description is right now that I think about it.  I was really describing my local Target and they do indeed keep the systems on the very bottom.  Still, I don't recall Best Buy being nearly as bad as yours and I'm over 6' myself.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

My point is that No more Heroes, Deadly Creatures and Cod appeal to a type of demo that is not quite the type of the wii owners  like. I said Cod exactly because it did better in both Hd consoles than it did on Wii, despite the userbase. A multiplat NMH could have way more 1mln copies rigth now. Some for a HD Deadly Creatures. The thing is that going exclusive Wii on a mature title is least profitable than going multiplat on the three or on the Hd only.

WaW- Wii  was actually a good Idea. It sold almost 1mln more copies, but imagine if they decided launching it on the Wii only, because it has a bigger user base. 1mln copies instead of almost 10mln across all plataforms. And that´s my point. At this point of the gen, launching on Wii only is just bad business, even if it has a little profit given the low costs. Going multiplat on the hd, that actually has a comparable userbase, or multiplat on every plat is better. Given the numbers.

BTW, when I said I would buy Dc, it was only a comment. It called my attention, but it wasn´t suppose to be a point by itself.

Killer 7. It didn't come close to breaking a million and it was on the PS2 and GC. Grasshopper games do not sell a million. It just doesn't happen. They make cult classics and not break-away block busters. Okami is another phenomenol game that just went on to be a cult classic despite having been put on the largest user-base two generations in a row. Why would an average game like Deadly Creatures have sold like crazy again? Your logic is flawed and lacking.

Nah come on we all know Guitar Hero III is the biggest Wii third party failure haha.

@Ail: I really doubt that anybody would have know what was in the works for the Wii from the 3d parties. They always had a very hesitant attitude towards it. Some of the wii owners that got a wii on the launch day bought it for Zelda or Wii sports (the new audience bought it for the later). Most of the wii owners did what you do with your PS3, they wait until something more solid was in the works or bought it because the 1st party offer was great enough.

At least that's what I did.

But still, if you read the threads carefully nobody is criticizing that there are not 3d party games on the wii because there is. What we criticize (and WE ARE RIGHT WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT), is that 3d parties treat us like if we were retards or can't grab a control, even to the expanded audience which are not dumb at all. They make insulting remarks to us, keep ignoring us like if we were an itch that will disappear and gave us crappy games and they criticize us if we don't like them. That's what we complaint because unlike other generations, 3d parties are becoming snobby and that's just not right, not only to wii owners but to gamers in general of any console.

What Rol is mocking is that some of these games have bombed because there is a lack of publicity (which is important to any product) or they are just bad ports. And companies use them as an excuse to say that 3d party games don't sell on the wii?! And I am sorry, but even you with your beloved PS3 can't deny that's just plain bull.

I'm not saying Third parties are treating Wii customers well.

I think one issue is that the relationship between hardcore Wii fans and Third party developers isn't really the best right now and that has to ( even if subconsciently) affect what is being developed for each console . ( the gaming development business isn't really like others business, no matter what management says it want the development team actually has a lot of the game destiny in hands ( esp when you get game company where the execs are not even gamers, how the heck can you sell and judge the quality of a product you do not even use ).

As for best development teams and the Wii ( there was another thread about this), as long as the teams do not want to do it by themselves management will have a tough time convincing them to do it ( that's only for the best teams of course, the medium ones are replaceable and usually do as asked, but the better an employee/artist is the more free reign he gets into deciding what he will work on ( and guess what, Rockstar is releasing a GTA DS game after getting a new deal with TakeTwo where they get a bigger share of the profit generated by the games they develop, so now they have an incentive to work on making more money...)

But seriously EA CEO can says all he wants about bringing quality titles to the Wii, if he does not allocate a big budget toward this ( his control) and does not get the best creative minds and teams of the company on board( not as much his control) it will have troubles happening...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

@ali -and all that you said had to do with what I said because.......?

so your point is that we should shut up because we expected good games on our consoles and we got dissapointed?

That's bullshit and you know it.

. To qualify for this list, a game had to be brought up repeatedly in discussions about third party sales on the Wii. So Guitar Hero 3: Aerosmith didn't quite make it.

Thanks to Arsenal009, we now know that GH: Aerosmith belongs on the list!
