So in the week of YAKUZA 3 and KILLZONE 2 the PS3 sells 12.000 more unites than the XBOX360.

I guess we all should bow and say WOWWWWWWWWW

Is this site full of SONY fanboys or it's just me? I don't mean to offend anyone but....

Anyways, next week everything should be back to normal, ah! BTW, the XBOX360 has a price drop!

A hug to everybody.

its not a fanboy thing to congrat a company that make games =/

its awesome to see everyone is doing well.

You guys know that if Yakuza 3 had not been released in Japan this week, the 360 would still be over the PS3...

@Spartan- Thats true aswell, a 300 or 250 price tag would do wonders.

But im just saying as far as Software Exclusives, White Knight will do the Same as KZ2 and Yakuza 3.

White Knight Chronicles wouldn't do jack. It's been released in Japan, and it did hardly anything. It didn't even match MGS4, and it was during the holiday season.

Nobody in the West really cares about WKC... it would be lucky to do a million in NA and EU combined.

The games left on PS3 which can be system sellers:

-God of War III

-Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII (Mainly in Japan)

-Gran Turismo 5 (the main one)

Nothing short of those three will push consoles.

You definitely forgot Shadow of the Colossus and Kingdom Hearts.  KH sold over 4.5M units.  Of course, I would expect KH to go multiplat due to being 3rd party and we all know how 3rd party developer content is going mulplat across the board.

I wonder if you realize that if X360 hadn't just released Star Ocean a week or two ago, their Japan numbers would be even lower...

The point is that even being twice the cost of entry, the X360 is still having trouble with worldwide dominance over hardware sales.  That should have MS shaking.  MS is about out of price cuts, but they still have similar hardware sales to a console twice the cost of entry.  Then, with the current quality line up of games, a PS3 price cut could be quite vicious toward the competition.

It's starting to become clear to people that the nasty negative press towards the PS3 is unfounded, so they are starting to ignore it.  It might even be pushing a lot of people towards the PS3 (opposite of the desired effect).  For 2008, PS3 worldwide hardware sales were only 30K behind X360.  That says it all.

I totally agree with Ascended_Saiyan3

The turnover of ps3 hardware sales is bigger than xbox360 hardware sales. Of course the xbox360 is selling bigger numbers being twice that cheap, but not that much lately ...

A pricecut of the ps3 will put them in lead of numbers and simply cannot be countered. Stockholders of MS will not agree.

So do I. Yes, there were 2 top titles released a few weeks ago, but with a price cut, this could be the every day picture.

Um, no. The 360 was ahead in 2008 worldwide sales by about 800,000.

Haha! funny people agree with trolling but don't flat out do it themselves *cough*

@ Ascended_Saiyan3

That half the price should be selling double the amount is a really lame way to look at it. From the software sales of Kung fu Panda and the other bundled games we were able to see that the lowest priced console only sold around half of what the 360 sells each week.

The gap was not 30k it was 800k.

The PS3 isn't selling on par with the 360 every week, it just had 2 massive releases. Games don't hold spikes for long so the only logical thing to say is that the 360 will go back to outselling the PS3 by 50k a week.

If you're directing that comment at me, please, explain his trolling!

"The point is that even being twice the cost of entry, the X360 is still having trouble with worldwide dominance over hardware sales."

"For 2008, PS3 worldwide hardware sales were only 30K behind X360"

^ (actually I guess that isn't trolling just a flat out lie) ^^

"MS is about out of price cuts"

Its either a really dumb post or a troll.
