When I was visiting my local Gamestop yesterday, the cashier asked me if I wanted to pre-order any games. She handed me a list of titles, and “Starcraft 2” immediately caught my eye. It listed the release date as June 2. When I inquired if the date was correct, she casually replied, “Yeah,” and seemed indifferent to my surprise.
The list also has release dates for other games, like “Uncharted 2” for October 2. Take a look at the flyer to see them all:

This isn’t the first time Gamestop has given a release date for “Starcraft 2.” However, Blizzard COO Paul Sams did say recently that we’d see one “frontline” title this year.
I’ve asked Blizzard to comment, and will update you as soon as we hear anything.
UPDATE, 5:30pm EST: We spoke with a Blizzard rep who stated that the company has not announced a release date for “Starcraft 2.” He would not confirm or deny the accuracy of a June date.

My friend and I were talking in 08 about games we were waiting for. Well I said starcraft 2, he said "why should we worry about that? our computers wont be able to run it"

I really will drop 2000+ dollars on a new computer JUST for starcraft 2. I will play that shit non stop for years. Ive been hyping the game up since 2001. No joke lol.

I doubt it's real. If it is hopefully I won't need to up grade my computer.

I was going to say it wouldn't be possible: Blizzard releases in the holiday season.
However, Starcraft and Diablo 2 were both released non fall/holiday season.

But, when you look at WoW everything was released from Oct to Jan for the US.

(A) I seriously doubt you could need to drop $2000 on a PC to play ANY game coming out in less than a year.

(B) Unless I'm much mistaken Blizzard isn't one of the developers that does the OMG DEMANDING thing.
