Yay! Another Killzone 2 Thread. :D

...a Microsoft spokesperson had this to say about Killzone 2 and Microsoft’s future:

“We congratulate Sony and Guerilla Games for their efforts with Killzone 2, however this is only the beginning of a new wave. The current technology employed for certain unannounced Xbox 360 exclusives far surpasses what gamers have seen in any game so far. Gears of War was the beginning of this technological benchmark when released on the 360 and this lineage will be carried forward in the following months with exclusives that shall stand for a new definition of gaming experience and provide stiff competition for the opposition.”

Do I believe them? Yes. I think they can definitely make better looking games as this generation still has alot more to offer in graphics department, but I doubt they could make an FPS with the same amount of details.

I am a Microsoft fanboy and have yet to see any game come close to Killzone 2 videos and in person. Gears of War was very good but Killzone 2 has taken the crown currently.

Right now E3 can't come soon enough to see what secrets MS is hiding for the rest of the year. Summer looks to be bland for me as usual. Though I'm not complaining; I've picked up Left 4 Dead, SF IV, Gears 2, Lost Odyssey, Saints Row 2, Braid (at 800 pts) and Burnout Paradise (now that It's $20) all within January and Feb. I've got plenty of games to keep me busy.

Lets hope it is true... Then Sony will be really pissed off, and
they will make another furious game like Killzone2, then
Micro$oft will try to beat it and so on so on... And we get to
enjoy all the great games.... (Yea right..)

Sony is yet to use 2 Bluray disks! :)

As will Sony. KZ2 is just an amazing game. It does do more than other FPS this generation on multiple levels. The use of motion controls is one that IMO was very fun to use. It added another element to the game play not found in other titles.

If Alan Wake looks as good as the PC build then I can believe them. The only problem is that Sony has got even better looking games coming. Sony is constantly pushing out more and more beautiful games. They put out Killzone and then Heavy Rain, then Uncharted 2 etc. each one more beautiful then the last. While the 360 has increadible games and Gears is a graphical powerhouse, I just don't see the 360 keeping up with the PS3 graphically. Not that it has to mind you. It seems like Sony is putting every cent they have into pushing things further technically because they feel they have something to prove. At the end of the day though, graphics only go so far and last so long before they are outdated so what really matters is gameplay.
