Results: Wii 34% X360 45% PS3 21% Total Responses: 1000 Responses by Sex: Female 16% Male 84% Responses by Age: 13-17 41.9% 18-24 50.4% 25-34 6.9% 35-49 0.4% -------- I guess the results are expected considering that the vast majority of the respondents were males between 13-24, but what I found interesting was the appeal of each console to the two sexes (even though the female sample was incredibly small) Choices by Sex Wii Female: 56% Male: 30% X360 Female: 26% Male: 49% PS3 Female: 18% Male: 21% Considering that most of the respondents (including the females) are probably "hard-core" gamers, the 56% female appeal to the Wii may in fact be an underestimate (especially considering the tiny sample size for females)! I know people have talked about the appeal of the DS and Wii to females, but this seems even more indicative of this fact! It looks like Nintendo will continue to drift more toward casual games and gamers as they start to make up a large and larger proportion of the gamers on the Wii (since most of the "hard-core" gamers appear to have gone to the X360 and PS3 [from the resullts at least]).
