Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Will the Xbox 360 ever be home to a game such as Killzone 2! By Megaman 2

The cover system in Killzone 2 is the best in any FPS IMO.

but the aim system is the worst in any fps i have ever played...

Honestly I'm a owner of a PS3 but I'm already sick of this "Killcrap" threads

No it isn't.

The aiming in KZ2 is much more realistic than any other shooter. It requires skill to be good at, because you have to anticipate the recoil of the gun and make allowances for that when you go after someone. KZ2 requires skill, unlike CoD4, CoD:WaW, whereby you point the gun at someone and there is no effect of the gun firing to the player, making it incredibly easy to be good at.

You mean an FPS that tries absolutely nothing new in the genre but does everything old extremely well? Pretty sure there are a lot of those this gen. Most recently CoD4.

Amen,..

Maybe if you were good at games you wouldn't think this...

If you mean a single player campaign that looks about as good, probably in a few years there will be a similar looking 360 game. The real difference isn't frame by frame graphics, the 360 probably can render a similar looking frame with some more optimization.

As to the scale, that the 360 probably cannot do. In terms of maintaining that level of graphical fidelity in giant single player engagements much less multiplayer with more then 16 people, that would probably be too much for the 360. I mean does anyone really think that the Halo 3, Gears and other devs didn't want to have 32 person multiplayer? I mean with vehicles and all that wasn't Halo in particularly calling out for 16 person teams?

The 360 can handle frame by frame graphics of the PS3, what it probably can't handle is large scale multiplayer with the same kind of graphics. I have yet to see a high quality 360 game with 32 person games much less 40 (like resistance had at release), 60 (what resistance 2 can do) or 256 (like MAG will have). This is probably because of the 8 processor vs 3 processor system. When you have 8 cores to work with you can toss all the things required to make a 256 game work to other cores, but if you only have 3 there really isn't a whole lot of room for expansion (unless you make the cores faster, which really isn't an option since the clock speed was set in stone for both consoles a few years ago).

From a graphical stand point, no i seriously doubt it. Look, the X360 is getting on a bit now. The graphics haven't really improved that much since GeOW 1 (Not GOW1) and while they are improving, it isnt by much. The PS3 looks like it has some way to go yet and by then the X360 will be considerably behind in the graphics department. However that is not to say it is impossible, for this to happen they need a really good developer and a massive budget and of course the game has to be exclusive.

But like i said, i seriously doubt it.

Being that you seem to be a Sony fan, I must ask the question. Why did you guys never talk about graphics, but quality of gameplay during the PS2 era? Psh.....hypocrites.

Well graphics arn't everything but they are something and of course game play is what really matters. In the PS2 era, the Xbox and PS2 seemed pretty evenly matched in terms of graphics, of course Xbox had the edge seeing as it was more powerful but the games it produced never showed this to the extent of what it should have. However games such as GOW 1 and GOW 2 pushed the graphics beyond what was thought possible on PS2 and i personally talked about the graphics and gameplay, not just one, so u will have to ask someone else to answer that because i dont want to answer for them, sorry.

I'm sorry, but that is his opinion. You cannot change it. COD4 required skill and the majority of people who played the game either liked it on PC or the 360. It's exactly the same reason I never SFIV on the 360, because the controller is just that much better on the PS3. COD4 did require skill.

Your threads annoy me and I love Sony. Ps3 games are always over hyped because we haven't had a game sell as well as a 360 or Wii game yet, feel the need to prove you don't need a 360 through game genres that made Xbox popular but Sony hasn't had a standout game in, or some other lame reason.

What Ps3 game hasn't been over hyped to sell far less then peoples expectations? I love my console but these threads need to stop, you give fanboys a bad name imo.
