Forums - PC Discussion - Mass Effect or Fallout 3

I want Fallout 3 a bit more, but I think my shitty computer can only run Mass Effect.

Here are some details:

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+

2.16 GHz, 1.00GB of RAM.

How's it lookin'?

From a console standpoint of having an Xbox 360 I would go with Fallout 3. There are much better sidequests and it takes alot more hours to beat. I would guess also that more computers could handle Fallout 3 over Mass Effect as well because Fallout 3 uses a more oudated graphics engine.

Fallout 3 hommie!!!

If you are a huge Bioware fan then go with Mass Effect because the story and cinematics are top notch but Fallout 3 is the best pick for most people.

Yea, that's what I was thinking - But the I barely meet the minimum requirements and wonder if it will run okay.

Depends what kinda game your after. IMO both different games in there own right.
If you played and liked Oblivion with its massive amounts of sidequests and extremely large map + FPS elements then Fallout is the one for you.

If you like third person shooters more, along with an amazing storyline... also a sci-fi setting, then go Mass Effect.

I personally think Mass Effect is the better out of the 2 though

Fallout 3 is awesome, but (IMO) Mass Effect is a better game.

In my opinion mass effect is the better out the 2 games, that been said i couldnt get into fallout too much it seemed really un-inspired at times and even dreary, but i guess i am in the minority. that been said your pc would run fallout better then mass effect, but not by much

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Hands down, Mass Effect. There's a lot to do in FO3, but Mass Effect? That's one of the few games I have heard people playing like 4 to 5 times. That's very, very impressive.
