Forums - General Discussion - What is the best zombie movie ever?

I would have to go with 28 Days Later just because it is the first time I had ever seen a portrayal of a zombie apocolypse seem so real and intense.  I saw Dawn of the Dead remake and liked it for its entertainment and I heard that the origingal was much better but never watched it.  What do you think is the best zombie movie and if it was put into a videogame would it be best in Left 4 Dead, old Resident Evil, or new Resident Evil style?

28 weeks later and Quarantine both suck but would make they would both make awesome videogames.

Hot Fuzz! It was a comedy but I mean zombies are never really serious.

I really disliked 28 days later

damikira - Kot Fuzz was the police one, do you mean Shaun of the Dead?

Dawn of the Dead was great because it didn't take itself too seriously

Shaun of The Dead

I don't know if you guys count it, but I'm going with Idiocracy.

28 days later for realism. Still can't believe that director has just won an oscar. Hope he continues to make independant, edgy genre films

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Dances with Wolves. Not sure if Kevin Costner was supposed to be a zombie on that movie, or if he is just a shitty actor.
