I bought an Xbox 360 just for gears of war. It was mostly because of the Mad World commercial and the fact that the game kicks ass. Kind of unhappy you have to pay extra for the online part though.

the promise GOW was a great incentive to buy the ps3, but usually I just buy a console because ik its going to have great game.

Well I bought a Gameube just to play the Resident Evil Remakes :) never ended up beating them though sold the gamecube about 2 weeks later...I couldnt stand the controller

I bought a Game Gear when I was younger just to play Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on it.
