This is very interesting. It's pretty cheap to put next-box games on HD-DVD - they have already paid the license fees and such and could get the media way cheap, provided they still make it.

If Sony can still keep UMD alive for so long, maybe it would save face for MS to go with the dead format and possibly start a minirevival.

Then, MS saves face and still gets the storage they need for gaming.

I like that idea - however, I think it would be better for MS to go with Blu Ray - especially with much lower prices and movies being made.

i agree with the free xbl, but then the prices of the games would increase in order to supply the free access to xbox live. doesnt ps3 do that? just wondering if anyone knows...
