Little big planet has amazing graphics and awesome online. Do you think little big planet 2 (ps3) will kill all the sales for all the mario games?

The make your own level feature makes me think that nobody will want to play mario after they play lbp.

What do you guys think?

I don't think LBP can kill Mario, but it sure beat the hell out of Banjo Kazooie!!!!

I can't wait for Jak and Daxter.

OOO hell naw , maybe if your talking about this gen then yea but on the n64 , banjo rips apart lbp.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

@pbroy

It's true. I prefer to kill Mario with Sonic on Green Hill Zone, 3 stock, and no items (Final Destination... wait...).

@TWRoO

Hey! I already made that point (It's okay though, you made it purdy ).

People will always buy Mario because of the brandname. Ratchet & Clank, Psychonauts and several other 3D-platformers were vastly superior to Sunshine and available for systems that were far more popular but guess which game was more successful?

Sunshine was pretty good and that is why people buy Mario games. They have been consititently pretty good or better.

So what happened to Sonic? Sonic 2 sold almost as much as Sunshine. Sonic had cartoons and comic books, what happened to the Sonic brandname?

Isn't this the same thing Sony fanboys said before LBP launched last year?

Yeah, that really worked out.

Straight out flat out, highly unlikely i dont think any other platformer can bring down the empire of mario (or mushroom kingdom :P) sonic was the closest series to ever give mario a run for his money. Im not bashing LBP in any way nor im implying it. but mario and even sonic have gained a big piece of the platformer pie.

I congratulate LBP for their success, but anybody who thinks it can bring down the king of platformers is in dream land (no pun intended). but i hope it inspires others to hop on the platformer wagon, and create more games like mario.

isint that what they said about LBP?

I wonder if pancakes with chocolate chips will kill toast?

I was talking about this gen.  LBP ripped apart Banjo.  The Banjo IP may well be in the gutter, now, too.

As for the n64 days, I hear people say it was pretty good, but given level creation in LBP I'll say it probably doesn't rip LBP apart.   LBP did it to Banjo this gen, though.
