Title should be in stores this Wednesday Anyone looking forward too it? I've heard it's pretty shallow but the gameplay and graphics are top notch, plus i think online mode will be more than enough for replay value.

Let me go into a little more detail. It should be for sale at midnight tonight.

Curious to see what people think of it. I have been playing a lot of ExciteTruck (and really enjoying it), and have been mentally wondering how it compares to Motorstorm (I know the games are quite different...). I so wish Excite would have had an online mode (and more multiplayer) - bad Nintendo! :) (at the moment, I feel that ExciteTruck is closest to Extreme-G than anything else.. sorry for getting off topic :>).

It should be interesting to see how this game does. People keep saying that the PS3 is going to start picking up speed due to its game library expanding over the next two months. This is the first game that is supposed to start that momentum. EDIT: The game got a 8.9 review at IGN (dunno if this is old news or not). This is good news for PS3 owners.

I'm just gonna say this. I've played Excite Truck at demo wii terminals... and I thought it was just... another crappy offroad raceing game. It didnt feel new, better, innovative than anything I've played in the past. (looked a little better, but not alot) I have the motorstorm demo. I would be willing to pay more for the motorstorm demo, than I would pay for excite truck. I have never enjoyed off road games before. (never) Motorstorm isnt just another offroad raceing game. it reminds me more of things like demolition derby. etc. Wich usually are so horrible in the 'controls' department. They just suck... despite the great fun idea. Basically what I'm saying is. Motorstorm is NOT a offroad raceing game. It's more.

No Multiplayer... and only 1 single player mode... You might as well just keep playing the demo.. it's basically the same thing Edit: Apparently I can't read... I should of wrote no "OFFLINE" multiplayer, my apologies.

Really? Wow. I gave up on Exite truck the moment I found out it wasn't four player. This is just... just... A single player only racing game? That'd be like if Doom didn't have any weapons in it

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

IGN Speaking of online, MotorStorm happily delivers here in spades. The game can be extremely fun online, especially when you're talking trash with a bunch of your friends and cursing at them when they run you off a cliff. Again, you can only take part in straight-up races, but you do have options for things like turning on or off catch-up assist, what vehicles you want to be made available and what time of day you want to race.
No multiplayer... ... yeah. I thought it was 12player online...

This looks like the PS3s Excite Truck: a nice proof-of-concept demo, but not really fleshed out enough to constitute a real game.

While I love the demo, and play it every time I'm in Gamestop, I wouldn't pay money for a racing game that didn't have offline multiplayer. What's the point in having 1080p-oops, I mean 720p, and all that processing power if it can't even split the screen in half, much less in quarters? Put me firmly in the 'meh' camp. Oh yeah Stof, I was pissed that Excite truck only had the 2 player. I can't wait for Excite Truck 2.
