First we'll start with the ps3.

They need to:

Drop the price to 300 dollars and 400 dollars by e3

They need to finish home so they can actually brag about it

they need to release gran turismo 5 and god of war 3 by the end of this year

They need to advertize the blue ray in the ps3 more

Now the psp.

They need to:

Come out with a silver little big planet bundle for 150 dollars

Lower the price of the psp to 130 dollars

release all the "girl friendly" games they said they were gonna this year

Release an update (patch) so that it would be much more difficult to pirat (for all these it must be this year)

I believe it's already too late to beat the Wii, it's hard to stop the pop train once it starts.

don't you see? Sony is in second place. Trust me by the end of the year people are gonna be like "What the fuck?" They wont take the Wii and DS out, but they don't need to.

Doing all of those things would likely result in a major change in Sony's market share although GoW3 isn't all that important for the PS3. As for the PSP, improved availability of titles through the PSN and Gran Turismo Portable would make a big difference. Also, the current PSP firmware and 3000 model are unhackable as far as I know.

is that a joke? within 4+ years the psp sells just over 40mil, and you somehow say the psp can sell 60mil+ within 2 years (my estimate for the ds/psp length)

Sony cannot beat the Wii. Bad economy + 26m nintendo lead is too much for anybody to overcome.
