Forums - PC Discussion - Steam Sales Numbers

It is possible that I am blind, but I cannot find Steam Sales Numbers.

Can anybody show me where to find them please?

Thanks - I love you all.

Nobody outside of Valve and individual publishers know Steam sales.

I'm looking for some homebrew method like Mrstickball does for the XBLA numbers.   Any thoughts?

There's a stats page, that's as good as you're going to get.

http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

Thanks guys...

The only game we know Steam sales is Garry's Mod, that sold 312541 copies from launch to mid december:

no bad for a niche product like it is

Didn't Valve recently release LTD sales on their 10-15 most sold games?

Otherwise, they don't release steam sale numbers. It's sad :(

If we are thinking about same list it was only retail copies sold. Valve protects Steam numbers better than third reich did for their wunderwaffen (one can only wonder if it's becouse they are small or gigantic) but i suspect gigantic is lot closer to truth.

We're working on a solution to get Steam sales like XBLA, but it's not an easy task. At any rate, they're under lock & key.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I would estimate that Steam's numbers to be a lot lower then people imagine.

A couple weeks ago during the 75% off L4D, they announced that their weekend sale beat their launch sale by 3000%!!

An increase of 3000% wouldn't be possible unless the launch numbers are extremely small. For example if they sold 1,000,000 during the weekend sale then a 3000% would mean a launch sale of approx. 33,000.

Also, looking at the stats per game - L4D peaked at 24k yesterday..
