It's pretty simple really, God of War was first, is a better game and has more then earned being the preeminent GoW. Also God of War makes sense as a name and really needs that title (after all Kratos first killed then became just that, god of war). Gears of War is a kind of strange and arbitrary title that, as far as I can tell from playing through the first one, has nothing to do with...anything except the logo they came up with. Gears of War seems to suggest some cool steampunk title, which Gears of War most certainly is not. |
When did personal opinion become fact again? Missed that memo apparently. AND if you'd ever have played the game, you'd know why they were called gears, and hence the title, Gears of War.
Truth is, I prefer referring to the Gears games as just that, "Gears" or "Gears 2", but your logic is still ridiculously biased. Though I don't think you've ever tried to hide your preference for all things Playstation.
So just to argue, given Quality and Quantity, Gears of War has more than earned being the preeminent GoW.
