I definitely dont think Canada is friendlier than Ireland, thats for sure. I have some good Canadian friends, but most other  canadians Ive run into snub their noses at Americans, mainly due to Bush

Possibly but then again there is guilt by appearance.  This needs to change.  Anyway, I was referring to the Mom and Pop and the good ol' boy attitude rather than the f u and come on already Northern attitude.

As a Canadian, I can honestly say that we're just being friendly because we want to get you in the sack.

 

P.S. I fixed the thread, what a nice Canadian I am.

 

P.P.S. One of my jobs in Korea this month is prepping a teenager who is moving to Canada for Highschool. I found out that a lot of Korean kids are going to Canada, and when they get there, their difficulties with language combine with their stunted social growth (Koreans eat sleep and breathe school, and private school and academies) And they have no idea how to cope. They usually end up going overboard with booze, sex and getting in to trouble, and some end up failing highschool and even needing psychological help. 

It's not really Canada's fault, so I guess it has nothing to do with this, but I thought it was interesting.

i worked with some Koreans here in So.Cal. in same situations.  Too much freedom and family back in korea is a bad mixture for these kids.  I know it's not Canada's fault, but Koreans will blame Canada and the U.S.

canada is not at all a friendly country. i lived there for a year and the people there were very cold, just like the weather. they were rude and unfriendly. americans are much friendlier. other people that are friendly are indians, pakistani, arab, black, and filipino.
