The 360 version is at No1 and the PC version is at No7. It obviously wont be anything like Halo 3 (which incidentally has two variations in the current top 10), but Bioshock is looking like it could have a big debut this week. Where do you think this game will sit saleswise this week and into the future. I reckon that on the 360 it could do 800,000 lifetime.

 Edit: Assuming strong sales, does anyone think a sequel is likely? Im only half-way through the game so i dont know if the ending allows for one, but surely a spin-off or parallel game of some kind could be done.  Bioshock is meant to be a spiritual successor to system shock, perhaps it could have a spiritual successor as well.

The game will be phenomenal, 360 is really showing us its not a seat warmer.

First week... Probably 260-300k.

2nd week i guess 210k.

Yes, and if you look at the 360, two SKUs (Premo w/HDMI and Elite) are hanging around the top 25... And two other SKUs (Premo non-HDMI, Halo 3 version) have been in the 50-75 range most of the week.

But, if you go to Gamestop BioShock has been second to Madden most of the week.

I'd like to think it will go one million but i dont know. It certainly deserves it. But the problem is, its only been the last two weeks that its really started to be hyped up, and even then its only within the online community. It will all depend on our ability to get the word out beyond the core

The ultimate questions which will have higher reviews, BioShock or Halo 3. I'm voting BioShock.

Yeah i reckon Bioshock will better Halo 3's reviews, but thats because Halo wont do anything new. People dont really want anything new from Halo 3, they just want Halo 1's single player, with Halo 2's multiplayer, all with sick graphics and a couple of nice new gadgets

I really don't think that is going to be much of a question anymore.  Bioshock is currently the highest ranking NextGen game at gamerankings.com at 4th all time...  It is only one of two NextGen games in the top 25, with Zelda for Wii coming in at 25...  Halo came in at 9th and Halo 2 came in at 21st.  The goal should be for Halo 3 to do better then 9th all time.  Which would still make it a great, and epic game. 

Let's put BioShock in clearer perspective.  There are only three games above it in the all time rankings.  Halo 3 would have to be the 3rd best game of all time to beat BioShock.  I wouldn't want to set that bar for any game on any console going forward.  I think they will be compared still as Halo 3 will probably have more sales because of the marketing.  But, I will not be surprised if BioShock is the game of the year.  And becomes a trilogy the size and scope of Halo...  It's story and world has spin off and movie potential written all over it...

And like starcraft said...  Halo fans want Halo...  Not a new game that has tons of new stuff that wasn't in the originals.
