You should never take any review whole-heartedly.

However,use them as a guide,You dont want to blow 60 bucks on a game your not going to like,right?

So,if a game your interested in gets bad reviews,Maybe you should rent it first.

But whatever man,Its your money.If you choose to completely Ignore reviews,thats your business.

Reviews are just opinions.

You should know what you like and what you dont like. If you cant tell the difference, just rent games before buying them.

Since you love JRPs, then you should not let bad reviews deter you from what you like.

I'M FREAKING TIRED OF FANBOYS PRE-JUDGING REVIEWS WITH BS CLAIMS HAVING NEVER PLAYED THE FREAKING GAME (one thousand exclamation marks).

Seriously what are you using to argue that it's better than a '7' a screenshot? a trailer??

I don't mean to come off as a fanboy.But to answer your question other then Star Ocean i just said that i play the games reviewers review but either i played a game they say is good and hated it or played a game they say is average or bad and enjoyed it alot.Mabye i came off a little hard on this subject and It seems alot of you guy have heard alot about this same subject and are tired of it but how would i have known this my first time being in a gaming forum.But this still does not clear the fact that i have wasted alot of money because of these review.I'll still listen to game sites like gamespot or GT because I agree with most of there reviews at least though.

 Thats exactly what i do, i dont believe everything on what they say until i do some research or like you said be a critical reader. after reading the review on  redsteel (cause of all the mixed reviews) i did some research and bought it cause i thought it had potential.

You obviously havent played SO becuase it is not out yet. Why are you so upset. You may play it and it turns out to be a 7 maybe higher maybe lower so what. Life goes on, go outside and get fresh air. Write your own review anything is better that pinning up such trivial anger and resentment.

Don't take it seriously ,reviews just opinions from someone that hired to do it.It just a guideline about what game it's.But good or bad?You gotta judge it by yourself.

You're acting like a 7 for a Star Ocean game is out of the ordinary. Why don't you go check out the reviews for Till the End of Time, hm?

you know what forget it,I was trippin just got mad over the star ocean review.It does not exactly change how I feel about some of them but whatever.
