I'm so tried of game reviewer and their biased reviews.

I'm sick and tried of reviewer being so hard on jrpgs.

Im making a vow hear and now to NEVER LISTEN TO OR READ A GAME REVIEW EVER AGAIN

I mean COME ON stop with the bs reviews.There have been plenty of games that game reviewer have rob the pleasure of me enjoying because i decided to listen to them.They either convinced me not to get a certain game just to play it later on to find out the game was awesome or there review gets stuck in my head and even if I get the game i can no longer enjoy it because I keep thinking about what they say.And ALOT of jrpgs games they gave a high score to I hated the s*** out of it (Final Fantasy XII).Now this crap about Star Ocean:The Last Hope.There is NO WAY I'm going to listen to this crap.I just going to get the game anyway, not read anymore reviews and I'm going to enjoy it.I feel everybody else sould do the same.

No.

You have to be a critical reader to get real value from reviews. And the value you can get from reviews is often from the critical parts -- not the "I give this game a 7/10" parts, but the "the control was poor because" parts, or "the core mechanic works well if you like..." parts.

These aren't difficult to pull from reviews. You have to look past the bias and the preference for a given genre. A good reviewer will at least know the genre well, so if you read a review from someone who doesn't compare the game to other milestones in the genre or doesn't like the genre, find another review.

Of course, I'm not a JPRG fan anymore.  I liked them when they were awesome (the early final fantasy games) but lost interest later.

if anyone says they're not sick of it, it's only because the games they like are getting good ratings.

honestly, its been going on for a while and has to stop.
it won't stop, so as a gamer, we must learn to have to deal with it.

Don't want to sound rude, but I am getting so incredibly tired of these anti-review crusades. Rocketpig did it first and he kicked ass. I haven't seen a good thread or editorial since. It's all just a big waste of time.

i still listen to them i read them so that i know at the games faults are and to see if that would stop me.although i am pretty mad about the reviews for lost oddyssey and banjo(deserved a perfect score)

This was not meant to be some anti-review crusade.Im just tired of wasting money on games reviewers loved the hell out of and i hated the s*** out of and missing out on games that later i ended up enjoying.It's not fun wasting $60 man
