Zelda Oot by a mile. FF7 only pushed rpg's forward in terms of presentation. In terms of gameplay, it was a regression. I stopped playing FF7 about halfway through, and consider it to be one of the most overated games of all-time.

My opinion would of course be Ocarina of Time but instead of comparing two opposite but great games why not just say both are amazing in their own right. No single game has to be the best gentlemen. That's up to personal preference. But no reason to have our opinions always butt heads when we can just agree both are great games and possibly 2 of the best games created... ever.

ff7 i loveboth games though

FFVII but i would love to play that zelda OOT

OoT.

Though if you put like...VIII I would have said FF VIII > OoT.

You might learn something...

This is a stupid question. Diferent genres should not be compared because that's not going to reflect on quality. I play diferent genres for diferent reasons. Tetris can be very fun to play, but do I play it for the same reason that I play a 60 hrs long RPG?
I expect diferent things from diferent genres and I enjoy them in diferent ways. People like to pretend that there is a universal "fun" factor, but there isn't. A good example is how everyone enjoys sex, but no one would be able to never leave their own home and just keep fucking and eating forever, cause it would get old. Eventualy you would need to watch tv or something.

Anyway.... Ocarina of Time

You might as well ask what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object.

FF simply because it gives me more replay value.
