The Windows version is buddy, Apple has been working longer and harder on Safari over the years then M$ has on vista. 80% of what you said is true about the windows version, not true, fixed, or opinions. Windows =FF AND Opera. Mac = FF and Safari Linux = FF and Opera

Nope I am talking about the Mac Version running in 10.4.9 on both G5 and especially on Intel Macs

I don't know anything about the windows version I used it once. I have however used Safari on numerous occasions and still do but I always use FF because Safari has had numerous issues with me. I didn't even mention my own problems with Safari only listing problems that are known with it. I mean if you like using Safari go for it, I know people that like using IE7 it is no big deal real each browser has its own strengths and weakness and most people like familiarity.

I seriously doubt though that Apple worked harder on Safari than MS did Vista. Their were leaked copies of the beta(longhorne on the net in 2002). they didn't have the Aero feature which was promised but they had all the goodies like instant file search(which became Spotlight in 10.4) sidebar(which became widgets in 10.4) and even features they did not implement that were really impressive but very resource intensive. A comment like that makes you sound like a hack or someone who wants to be cool just because they don't use MS. My opinion of both Apple and MS  is that they are both thieves.

Neither one has really ever come up with an inventive idea that wasn't directly ripped off other comptetitors.Apple people saw Xerox Star and made the Apple Lisa which looked exactly like the Xerox Star except was way less advance and since then the top OSs just steal ideas from others msjet.dll was stolen from Armado. The thing is for me MS OS's run faster than Apple OS are just as stable if not more so every I have seen quite a few multi lingual grey screens(not too mention OS Xs funky kernel micro kernel) using adobe on my Mac oh and don't have the ego problems that apple does.

Back on topic  Opera/Firefox are the best most flexible and scalable IE browsers. IE 7 has the best compatability except for a few hacker sites(which also ban Safari BTW) due to how easy it is to exploit or crash using a single line of code....The feeling is anyone going there would be smart enough not to use those too

Oh yes, I'm loving my Firefox that now crashes about 4 times a day, or at least locks up my ram and needs to be shut down.

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

I quit using FireFox the very instant that I tried Opera.

I can't see myself ever going back.

Well I guess I've never come across this "single line of code" you keep talking about. Because so far I'm happier with Safari than I was even with FireFox. It hasn't crashed on me. Ever.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

As I said if you are happy with it fine. Pretty much all browsers are relatively stable enough to be operable for everyday use. It is just to me Safari is buggy and it brings nothing to table(It is the only browser so far that has crashed in regular use like signing in to Yahoo). Opera brings features like the speed dial speed last session recall even if you close it out or restart your computer. Firefox has configurability and personalization and real plug in support. It also has a memory leak in there which can slow down your computer after awhile. IE7 has the best optimization from websites but still relies heavily on Active X a good idea but to easy to exploit and abuse. I choose Opera easy to use, easy to update, complete and fast but at the trade off of some CSS display issues(similiar to what I have seen in Safari as well).

I'm using Firefox. Its actually better than Internet Explorer. I only use Internet Explorer when I have to do business cause for some reason I trust it better. But since I heard VGChartz has a bug in it, I quickly left IE for Firefox. So far, so good..

Get firefox!!

Then install Adblock and Filterset.G.

No Script also very handy.

Must get Phishtank also!!

Webheads get the Web Developer Toolkit.

Opera - Glitchy with several "enterprise-class" web applications.

Safari - Webcore sucks as a rendering engine.

IE7 - Quickly coming back as a major browser player thanks to IE7Pro add-on.

Firefox - Top of the game.  FF + Ad-Block Plus + NoScript = Security Win.  Firebug + Web Developer Tools = Development Win.

Firefox is a solid stable browser for me and the gecko rendering engine is produces pages well (decent font smoothing would be awesome though...).
