Yea but how the hell can you go wrong with 1:1? It'll be the players fault if they suck.

That's what makes me suspect that few, if any, Motion+ games will be completely 1:1. Not because the technology won't allow it (the demoes say otherwise), but because in many ways, for most people, true 1:1 won't be as fun as..."assisted" 1:1. By this, I mean that making the player have actual skill in tennis (or fencing, or baseball, etc.) would exclude most people, as they simply don't have the time it would take to make themselves "better" at the game.
And I think Nintendo agrees with me here. For example, Resort's swordfighting game isn't completely 1:1, but lets you block your opponent's attacks by pressing/holding a button (I believe; correct me if I'm wrong). I'm also fairly confident that the frisbee game will also be fairly generous in what results it gives you, somewhat like Wii Sports Bowling seems to add 50 points to your score.
I'm really looking forward to Motion+, and the possibilities it contains. But I know full well that it's going to be giving developers major headaches as well, since they now have to do an increasingly delicate balancing act between making a game accessible (in terms of how you control it) and accessible (in terms of just how good your motions have to be to get you "good enough" results).
I still envy them, though. This could be a very exciting time for gaming indeed.
