Mario 64 for ME.
The motion sickness I got was a horrible experience. :(
Nevertheless I was able to beat Bowser.
But my problems with this particular game aside there are no main Mario games that are low of quality and I love them all.
Some more, some less.

I don't think there is a bad mario game but Sunshine came awfully close to it.

No. The only main Mario game I hated was SMB2. From the moment I started the game it felt wrong. After looking up it's history (Toki Toki Panic disguised into a Mario game) I realized why. Since it's not really a Mario game it doesn't count. I loved SMS though, don't see why all the hate for this one. Despite some of the changes, it still held all of the Mario charm.

Main series I don't know but if we're talking mario branded game then easily Double Dash is my least favorite Mario game.

Do spin off of the Mario franchise count? I hated that Mario Doctor or wateva it was called for Gameboy...that was back in like 1992
